Super Cel East Underhood vs ARB Twin 12V Compressor Kit?

Can someone help me understand what the difference is between these two onboard compressor kits? The ARB onboard 12V Twin Compressor kits sells for $885.60 with our member discount. I believe it comes with everything I need to install on my 2023 Wildtrak. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I was about to make this purchase when I then saw the Super Cel East option. At a glance it look very similar to the ARB 12V twin kit. It is priced at $1080 after the the member discount. The description states that it comes with "switch" and a blue hose with a quick press fitting and air chuck. This leads me to believe that the twin 12v kit does not come with these options.

Can someone please help me understand the differences between these two options and if the extra money is worth the investment?

@London, can you comment for sure on what comes with the twin when bought from Bronco Nation? ARB sells it with as either a portable kit with a 4L air tank, inflation accessories and a durable carry case or a vehicle mounted kit with associated wiring loom and mounting hardware.

@Ryon5000, London just updated the twin compressor listing to show what it includes. The air hose and air accessories are sold separately.
The Ford Performance underhood compressor kit includes an air hose.

Hey there! Yes, biggest difference between the two is that on the 'regular' ARB compressor, the air hose and air accessories sold separately. The Supercel East option you are seeing is the Ford Performance/ARB compressor, which will come with the whole kit (inflation hose with a quick press fitting and air chuck). If you are attedding SuperCel East, you can purchase that item and will receive free shipping and you can pick it up at the event. However, if you are not going to that event, you would need to purchase the regular version which you can find here: https://gear.thebronconation.com/products/ford-performance-bronco-air-uh-compressor-kit-1

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions though, please feel free to let us know.

I've been looking at the ARB compressor as well, & we found this Rough Country option at a much better price.

https://www.roughcountry.com/product/twin-air-compressor-rs205

I'm not sure if RC has licensing from ARB or tweaked it just enough to be infringing on anything, but it looks to be pretty much the same compressor to me. (if you google it, you can find pics without the cover on top. It's identical to the ARB, just black/red.

I'm going to make my own under hood mount brackets, because I work in a Fab shop & can't see paying $200+ for a bracket, but I'm probably going with the RC option on this.

I can't speak for the other unit. I have the ARB twin compressor for the last year, and it is amazing. It's under the hood, and routed the hose to the back so that you don't have to open the hood each time. Very convenient. Power is on #6 aux switch. I did a lot of research before buying. I've talked to many people that went cheaper, and then upgraded to a better unit. I follow the saying, you get what you pay for. Buy once, cry once.

Exactly the same here. I purchased before it was available from the BN store. It will come with a switch, but if your rig has the aux switches you don’t need it. The BN kit they are showing is the compressor, the mounting bracket, hose and the small manifold. That is an excellent price for what you get. Mine was just the compressor and I purchased a different mounting bracket, a Morflate quad inflation kit and the manifold separately. This is a great deal. My manifold is in a different spot due to the mounting bracket changing the layout slightly.

I absolutely agree & tend to lean towards more quality products over always getting the cheap option.
The only reason I'm considering the other option is because it appears to be a an ARB clone.
I honestly wonder if they licensed the design from ARB because it's that similar.
I'm still doing research & reading about it, but with a similar/possibly same design, 3 year warranty & comes from a known seller like RC at half the price?
That's hard to ignore just for the ARB nametag..

Gotta get with my parts guy now. I ordered the Ford performance kit and had them install it but didn't get a hose or air chuck.

I went and looked. ARB sells a kit as a vendor through the BN Store for $885 without the air hose. Ford Performance sells ARB products either directly or through the BN store with the same items and the hose and quick coupling for $1080. Buy the regular $885 one not the FP one. Then go on line and order the coupling and a quad inflation kit.

FWIW I've never heard a positive thing regarding RC parts in the nearly 4 years I've been in Bronco world. Not putting them down, just saying I've heard many many complaints when it comes to RCs quality and product.

I've had a few RC things on other trucks without issue.
But they definitely aren't a "premium" brand by any means.
I did recently purchase the tailgate reinforcement bracket from them because it was cheap & I'm going to measure it then use the measurements to make a custom one for myself.
In this particular instance, I'm really only putting the idea out there because of just how similar theirs is to the ARB model.
I'm legitimately trying to to find out if there's a licensing deal where they're using ARBs design on the compressor or something, because it's so close I can't see how else they'd be making it without a lawsuit

I have similar questions but a bit different.. I am considering the ARB dual and a Morrflate TenSix PSI Pro.

I was originally leaning towards the Morrflate but having a 2DR with limited cargo space, I am now leaning towards the ARB since it will be under the hood and not taking up that valuable rear cargo space..

Now that I am leaning towards the ARB, I am also interested in other under the hood options.

I had an ARB in my Jeep and it performed great and w/o issues..

I honestly don't get the RC hate.. I've been using a variety of their products since the mid 80's on my 1st Jeep and every Jeep I purchased after that and never really had issues with any of it...

Anyway, sorry to go off-topic but I just don't get it...

Having said that, there are some things I would not buy from them and would look elsewhere and the AC is one of them..

Also off topic but how do I take advantage of the member pricing? When I go to the store it asks me to log in or create an account. If I try to log in via forum info it no workie, workie.. Figured it out..

Fair enough.
I'm in agreement with you on there being some things I wouldn't consider them for.
I probably wouldn't put an RC lift under my Bronco for example.
I'd definitely want a little more trusted brand for anything suspension related.

But I had an RC aluminum tonneau cover for my Alumiduty that was a great value at around 1/2 of what Ford wanted for one & it seemed to be a higher quality than the Ford sold one I had on my F150 Limited which faded rather quickly.

I guess to me, the compressor isn't an essential - it's not something that's going to leave me stranded if it fails.
It's also not something that's going to be used daily.
So it's worth exploring if a 1/2 price option that looks identical to the high end one is a good buy.

And I'm not shilling for them or telling anyone to run out & purchase it.
If funding isn't a concern, grab an ARB twin all day long.
I'm just pointing out that it's out there if you're looking for a more budget friendly option that might be a good value.

Never owned any RC products. The negatives I have read about are usually with steel bumpers etc, being prone to rust.

Agree on all points.. I would not use an RC lift either.. Well maybe a leveling kit for the front but that would be about it..

As far as the compressor goes, I do agree that it is not a critical item for many but I generally wheel solo and def need a way to air back up before getting back on pavement. In my case, or at least when I had my Jeep's, I try and get off road at least once a month even if it's just for a quick overnight stay. So for me, while the AC won't get used super often, I do kind of need it to be rock solid and reliable..

The price for the RC compressor is very tempting but for some stuff I'd rather spend the extra dough.. I won't be getting mine for a month or so as I have other things on my Bronco to do list before it so I'll keep an eye out for any and all reviews of the RC unit. I assume I'd still go the ARB even if the RC reviews well..

Thanks for posting the link. It is def an option worth considering..

I'm surprised I don't see more people talking about Co2 systems rather than compressors. Is it just the consumable nature of the gas or the recurring cost?

Back in the 80's I ran with a scuba tank for a while.. LOL..

You could always opt for something like a Thor system but they are not that much less than an ARB kit.. Or I guess you could DIY something with a bracket to keep the tank in place.

I really like my nudge bar, sturdy and doesn't obstruct Bronco script on grille. I imagine their tailgate table has to better then the Ford one that has the weakest cables.
