Curious about the stock tire that came with my Bronco. It's the Good Year Territory RT 315/70/17 and when I search it, it's about $275 per tire before; mounting, balancing, road hazard & tax

Is this a worthy tire? I'm not a hardcore off roader, but I do take it off road, mostly Forestry Road during deer & turkey season

My question is:

1) Do I sell them now with < 200 miles and replace them with......?
2) Do I drive them until worn and replace them with.....?

Should I stay with the size that came with it? (315/70/17) I tow a 2K Pontoon Boat

Thanks in advance for any insight / suggestions

The stock Goodyear tires are rock slingers and are not great off-road IMO.... I'd replace them immediately if it were me.. Mine were replaced within the 1st week..

Do you off-road a lot or just every so often?

I've always had good luck with either Toyo or Wildpeak's.. I currently have Falken Wildpeak AT4W in 35x11.5R17 and they've been great both on and off-road..

I ran General Grabbers in MT for the longest time on my previous Jeep's. They were not the greatest on road but performed well off-road..

I think my next tire will be an RT which is the middle ground between an AT and an MT..

If you do switch pay attention to weight. Maybe look for something that's C rated as they will generally weight less than D or F rated. The rear tailgate can only support like 130 pounds. If you get a very heavy tires and wheel combo you could be pushing that limit..

Good luck whatever you decide..

These are not the same as the older Goodyears. They are the RT not the MT. They don’t throw rocks as much. I’d say wear them out and then replace them. They are fine for the OP’s use case.

That’s not the tread pattern on the 2025 Sasquatch tires. The Territory RTs have a newer pattern. More like the General Grabbers and the KO2 or KO3.
