Switching out Front Grill BRONCO Lettering - First DIY Project for match patching letters

Hey All,

I am feeling quite good seeing that I have little to no Handyman experience and I just finished my first DIY project on my Badlands Bronco!
Many of us have seen the BRONCO letter with different colors and patterns. I decided to purchase these letters that were already paint-matched to my Cyber Orange. Looking back, I would have painted them myself since that part did not look too hard. I presume this is why the letters were quite expensive, but hey it supported a local shop in Florida so why not! I purchased these from BFN Truck Shop (you can get any color that Ford provides).

I used this YouTube video that showed me how to take the grill out, disconnect the front-facing camera wires that are tied into the grill, how to remove the original letters and how I got the new letters to stick. The only tools that were required were the standard 10mm socket (provided to every Bronco owner by Ford) along with this $18 soldering iron that I purchased off Amazon. In total this took me about 1.5-2 hours but again, I barely have any handyman experience so it'll probably be much faster for you.

This is a simple mod anyone can do for pretty cheap. It is more tedious than it was challenging. The toughest part was figuring out how to detach the 2 wires that ran from the engine into the grill (this was for the front-facing camera).
It was just a matter of pulling them apart, lol. I thought about leaving the "R" as the original White color but it didn't blend too well with the Cyber Orange color.

I hope you like the mod because I do! Happy to answer questions. I will get a better picture tomorrow since the sun was setting and I was still in my garage.

Looks great!!! I had watched that video myself a few months ago. Nowhere near as good as him damaging his Bronco by acting the fool. More money than sense.
