What am I missing here…….why don’t they just use shorter bolts?

I have no idea, however the most common issue is a vibrating noise that some have complained coming from the area. The tech advised that the frame that is mounted to the swing gate is either missing the rubber and plastic pieces that separate the metal from the swing gate or when the bolts are tightened down it squeezes the rubber grommet so it still touches. Adding the washer between the frame of the table and the swing gate in addition to keeping the rubber grommet in place seems to solve the problem.

I installed the Ford folding table too. Instructions that came in the kit were garbage so I tossed them. A few recommendations, I masked the whole door with painters tape to protect the paint, and I must have mocked it up and marked out the new holes half a dozen times before drilling. Just take your time. Use a center punch and drill pilot holes. Also, I only used hand tool with the exception of drilling the holes. It’s to easy to over tighten with impact guns.

another reason to get the better table from RockSlide for $50 more than Ford is charging for their single/cheap-looking table and yes RSE has a full Bronco line coming out

What constitutes better? In my opinion, sometimes, less is more. I like the Ford table.

That one is nice and I like the wood extension but for $499 hummm $250 for the RSE 2 level so think I am going that way instead of GG
