Bronco Towing - Need to Know

I plan to tow a 2250# Trail Boss Tear Drop Camper. 240# hitch weight. Does anyone have any advice? Do I need airbags? Do I need different shocks? Do I need a different type of trailer hitch? Any advice would be appreciated.

My bronco wild track 2024 has the trailer towing package. I am adding the electric brake controller.

I am worried about the rear end sagging.

You are below the max capacity however, you will likely need a drop hitch to clear the spare - other than that you should be good to go!

The rear end may sag a bit depending on the total payload. Most pickups that have a crazy amount of forward rake to account for towing. The Bronco's rake is relatively small by comparison.

But @Bschurr is 100% correct. You're well within the factory tow spec and you should have no issues.

I pull a NuCamp Tab 320 Boondock with my 2022 Badlands 4 door with Sasquatch. Dry weight is 2045 lbs. Dry hitch weight is 215 lbs. I installed the Redarc Elite Pro controller. Super easy installation. I did post a while ago regarding the installation. No idea where it is, I will check regarding the thread if you like. I got a Curt hitch with a slight drop. I also purchased an extension for spare tire clearance. at the time I could not locate the one piece extended hitch so I went with the extension. Loaded down with gear and water I am somewhere around 2600 lbs. Zero issues with pulling it.

This is my Keystone 1400BH with a dry weight of #1900 and loaded #3000. Probably about #2500 here. My non-Sas suspension is stock except for a 1" front level kit. I installed the RedArc Pro Trail brake controller and it pulls and stops great. As mentioned above, the jack handle will come awfully close to the spare without a drop hitch. I chose the adjustable hitch from Home Depot and it works out well. It has 2 holes to chose from that slides into the receiver also if you need it to be a bit longer but here it is in the shortest position.

That is basically my set up, But I pull a small homebuilt teardrop. but adding the extension I did need to add extensions to my safety chains. just make sure the chain extensions are rated for your application.
