Has anyone bought the IAG soft top lift assist? If u have, what do you think about it? Looks like a neat little upgrade.

I put it on about a month ago. It is great and worth every penny. I makes it much easier to access the back and to open the the soft top. I also put IAG plastic covers on the back roof rails where the soft top can scratch while opening. It seems you probably won't scratch the rails as the soft top assist helps in keeping the soft top aligned while opening. As well, Ford has put a very small piece of fabric where the soft top hits the most.

We like it a lot. Good for the dog in and out and easy to install. They do a great install video.

My dad did on his truck. Like mentioned before makes opening easier. He loves them.

I put the IAG Soft Top Lift Assist on my Bronco a few months back and love it. It definitely makes it easier to lift up the soft top in the back and eliminates the need to use the 'tri-pod leg' that Ford put in to hold it open. I also installed their hood struts, which were well worth the money, too.

I went with the 21 Off-Road struts from StickerFab. Just checked and they are $59 on their site. They were easy to install and have been great. They seemed to be a more simple design. They also look much less expensive as well.

The only thing to be mindful of is that it creates more resistance when you put the top completely down. I would suspect the same thing for all soft top struts. On the flip side, it helps to raise the top back up when you are ready.

I have them on mine and they work great. Certainly a lot easier than messing around with the prop rod.

Also- I had one of the plastic hook ends of the bungies break, and IAG sent me another one no problem. Good folks to work with.

100% worth the money. You dont have to use that dumb kick-stand and the install is super easy. I think I did it in a grocery store parking lot while the wife shopped.

Recommend the IAG soft top lift as well. The Mabett Roll bar cover is also a must have if you remove your soft top. Saved me from a big nasty scratch!

I watched the install video but they didn’t explain what the bungees were for… did u figure it out? Maybe ease of closing top … idk

I think it helps the rear of the top accordion when you lift up.
Web capture_15-6-2023_84314_www.youtube.com.jpeg I grabbed this still from their youtube video and marked it up. The bungee pulls from between the red arrows, and the entire bow moves closer to the rear bow.

I installed these on mine too and like 'em.
An absolutely better solution to the goofy kick stand prop.

Folding the top all the way to the back takes more effort but the pistons help to raise the top when its time to close it.
