Hey all I feel like this might be my best chance to get someone with the inside scoop on the Roush kit.

I am getting close to finding out if I will finally be getting my slick ride, 2 year journey. I am very interested in the Roush Bronco R Kit, but I can find very little on the performance metrics that go with it. If have read it's 30% more air to the engine, but nothing on the horsepower, mileage, torque or other goodies. I know I love the sound since TC Customs has some videos that at least gave me that nugget. Does anyone know these things?

That is a heck of a lot of money for an exhaust, cold air intake filter, recovery kit and a bunch of stickers. Ouch!

We have certainly kicked that one around the forums a lot. I think the consensus was that the CAI was probably not worth it without a new tune.

FWIW, I don't have plans to do much to the intake or the exhaust on my truck (Whenever it gets here). I am not interested in the Roush dress-up bits, but its your truck, do what make you happy with it. Just one dude's opinion.

FWIW, I don't have plans to do much to the intake or the exhaust on my truck (Whenever it gets here). I am not interested in the Roush dress-up bits, but its your truck, do what make you happy with it. Just one dude's opinion.

I appreciate your honesty... I am not sure I want to spend the money either, hence wanting to know more about what it will give me. The stuff I watched on TCCustoms was they did some chip tuning too, but could have been something special they do to take it another level. Either way if there isn't a performance delta how can I know if it's worth it? I just walk at that point

It seems to me that you can get the same advantages much more cheaply, by sticking a coupe of Honduh “Type R” badges on your Bronco.

Lots of money for a couple performances parts and a load of stickers so you can be free advertising for Roush. Plus no tune???? You can spend way less and get a lot more bang for you buck by focusing on individual performance parts.

Waste of $$$, other companies offer more for less, I'd wait

Also, instead of a $1000 axle back, wait for downpipes, they're actually what give you power instead of sounding farty or like a tuner

KN Filter isn't too badly priced, and if you're gonna tune, bov is essential later on, as well as a catch can. Otherwise, agree 100%. Hell, go to Home Depot and get some plexiglass or whatever material that windows made off, and make your own windowed box, no need to throw your $$$ away on a badge job

I've now watched two videos from TC Customs, who usually create pretty informative videos, pushing the roush package. In the latest video, at the end he made some silly comments about the wonderfully unique wood crate box, that the roush kit parts are shipped in. Not sure why one would want to keep a shipping container????

IMO the R kit not worth it. Waste of funds.

Maybe upgrade your air filter but no CAI.

Maybe upgrade your exhaust but I'd wait for a full exhaust system instead.

The wheels will need tires. Buy wheels elsewhere or just keep em stock.

You can get the merica flag decal stickers on amazon $10 for pair.

Anything else in the kit not sure why its necessary nor does it warrant a 7K price tag after shipping.

You can do a lot more better mods for a lot less.
