Hello BN,

I spoke with a rep from ZROADZ regarding some details about their roof rack. The rack will fit 2021-2022 model Broncos. Limits are listed below:
  • Dynamic Off Road Rating: 196lbs
  • Dynamic On Road Rating: 240lbs
  • Static Load Rating: 570lbs
One thing to note, you can not remove your roof panels with the rack installed. I'll post a link below to read more.

Yep, great rack. Complete build failure to not be able to remove at least the front 2 panels. You think with the number of people asking to remove them they would redesign it/ Not that hard just raise it to match what Ford has with their rack

I agree with @ResidualGenius. it's nice but would like the option for the panel removal. If only Ford would make a roof rack that reaches to the rear of the 4 door it would be great.

Or move it back so that you could remove the front roof panels.

You can remove the panels with the stock one it just doesn't reach to the very back of the top.. leaving a lot of unused area.

From what I can tell the only rack option for those that want to maintain the ability to easily remove ALL roof panels are the SeaSucker Monkey Bars. Wouldn't attempt using them for a tent/overlanding gear, but you can certainly haul kayaks, bikes, or a modest amount of lumber. Nice because you can position them wherever you want on the roof too. My brother uses them for his bikes and they are definitely super secure. If nothing else from the aftermarket comes out soon they are what I'll be getting if/when my ride ever gets delivered.

Kinda, hard to move it back since all the current roof racks out use the front window mounts

I mean it really would be a simple fix for them, raise it up a few inches. IDK I'm no engineer/designer just an end-user LOL

The dynamic load rating isn’t even sufficient for some RTT let alone anything else. Plus, no panel removal. And it’s ugly as sin. Well, at least it is stupid expensive. I cannot believe we haven’t seen more aftermarket options yet.

I hope someone makes a rack similar to this for the soft tops

I am sorry. These prices of racks and bumpers in the thousands when similar products for Tacomas and F150s are 5 and 600 or less are just really frustrating.

I feel like for $1900 you could go to a fab shop and they could design a custom made roof rack in whatever way you want.

I was thinking the same thing. Sort of strange

Wait, I'm confused. I ordered a MIC top with roof rack. Are you saying I can't remove the first two panels!?!

Waiting for my Bronco at least gives me time to wait as the aftermarket catches up on products for it. Love seeing what they are coming up with. Not a fan of everything, but some of it is pretty cool. I do think prices will come down as more and more products become available. It will definitely take some time to catch up with the Jeep aftermarket. They have had quite a head start.

Put some mounts on the front of the rear roof and leave the front ones where they are.

No, you can, I think they were referring to the aftermarket examples noted for 2 grand.

Yeah, I did some frantic googling and saw that you can take the front 2 out. Back panel removal requires removing the rack, however.

I will add to all of this...

Many of the options out there are just not that well planned or built. I will not mention names, but if you are curious IM me and I will share. Several things I have purchased are just poor in design. they cover sensors, create more work for the buyer, are flimsy in designs and are overpriced.

I know that COVID has hampered a lot of our creativity, and the idea of research and design for some companies is just too far a push right now, but... Geesh!

I thought I would have endless grab handles, bumpers (front and back), bull and roll bar options, and racks to pick from. Sad thing, you can't much from Ford in the line of modular bumpers, Sasquatch mud flaps, and roof racks.

Yet, I wouldn't sell this thing for 10 grand over right now unless I was guaranteed another in 6 months time. And I don't; thik that will be the case.
