Rear Sliding Tailgate

I placed the order for my Bronco yesterday afternoon. When I was going over the options with the dealer I checked off for the sliding rear tailgate. Strangely it still doesn’t appear in the Build and Price tool. I remember in one of the last Q&As one of the Ford reps said it would be late availability for MY22. I wonder if it’s a glitch in build and price and it’s available or if it’s still delayed? Has anyone else opted for the sliding rear tailgate?

Not the news I wanted but thank you for the info. I'll probably take that off my build and install it once it becomes available. No sense in delaying it anymore than necessary.

That's a cool feature, but it will probably push your build date til this time next year. I know it was not avail when I got my order pushed to MY22 back in Oct. Plus, I was too afraid to rock the boat and add anything else that may delay my order. My issue is that I am coming from a 2017 F250, so I'm used to having tons of cargo room in the bed to haul anything I please. My Bronco is the 2 door, so cargo space is limited. I'm toying with the idea of buying a small 5x10 trailer for those Home Depot runs, or I saw a post on 6G where a dude removed his back seat and put a 3/4" carpeted plywood floor - looked pretty slick. My kids are both grown and I'm single/ divorced, so it's just me and the dogs, no real need for a back seat anyway :)

I can relate not wanting to push it back any further. I've seen some interesting back seat deletes and cargo floor solutions for the two doors. If you don't need the back seats or the extra space you can make the two door work! I wanted a two door initially but I need the space of the four door. It's hard to beat the look of the two door! I plan to do some car camping with my Bronco and the two door was just too small for that. The tailgate leveled out the cargo floor with the back seat so that was the major draw. That and it was just a cool accessory.

Yes, it was originally planned to be available for the MY21.

The Slide-Out Tailgate now appears on the build and price tool, if anyone is interested in adding it to their Bronco.
