Has anyone seen chatter on social media from companies like Goose Gear about rear seat delete mats and platforms?

I think I’ll really just want a rubber or vinyl floor mat in my BD, not a platform. If I end up with a platform, I think I’m just going to build one myself instead of buying $1000+ worth of pre-drilled painted plywood.

I'm doing the same thing, I want to take out the seats and replace carpet with a mat, maybe by time I buy it it will be an option.(y)

If make my own I'll do a platform it will have a slide out surface big enough to sleep on.No plywood, I have a CNC plasma cutter at my disposal.:devilish:

I am getting the BD so it already has the washout floors. With that in mind I’d prefer to keep it washout capable, which would bump up expenses if I have to have a washout capable platform. That’s why I’m hoping someone’s already planning a molded vinyl or rubber mat to cover up and smooth out the seat holes so there’s a flat surface. If someone designed a mat that has plugs that pop into the pre existing holes so the mat stays put, they’d make a lot of money.

Rubber mat with duckbill valves in the center of the plug that holds it would be cool.

Even with the rear seats removed there is a raised seat mount extrusion across with exposed bolts/studs. Might have to cutoff the bolts/studs. Don’t know if the raised extrusion is structural, or just there for the seats.

I plan on using that to anchor my slide out sleep platform.

That’s a good idea. Aftermarket or build your own?
