As the title says, what do folks use to tie down items to molle panels? Do you just use plastic zip ties from like Home Depot and then cut the zip ties with a knife anytime you need something undone? Or does someone use something more reusable?

I've seen a couple of pictures on some sites (like Diabolical Inc.'s site) where they appear to have some reusable ties of some sort that they're using in the pictures of items attached to their molle panels? I did a little Googling and couldn't find anything, so I was curious if folks had any recommendations. Right now, I just use plastic zips from Home Depot, cut them off, and then use another one to reattach.

Thank you

So for the two Items I have. The trauma kit came with velcro straps that I just feed through the panel. For the H3 extinguisher, you can order small metal braces to screw the extinguisher holder to. Due to the height, I had to put it at an angle. Depending on what you're going to put on them, they may have accessories to allow for mounting to a panel.

These work well also. Metal wire inside wrapped by polymer that doesn’t scar things up. Can get them many different places. But agree with above post, velcro can also be purchased in different sizes and works well for light weight items.

Look up Wrap-It on Amazon. They make a bunch of reusable Velcro tie downs in different sizes. I got a multi-pack at Costco a few months back and use them for all sorts of things.

I bought this kit off Amazon a while back. $14 and it came with a bunch of straps and connecting options.

Amazon $14 Kit

Use it along with some standard velcro straps and you should be more than covered.

IF the item doesn’t have straps, I use Carabiners. Easy and fast.

I use some Velcro as shown above for small items. I found if you have a strap and a buckle without preset holes, you can tighten down anything. Harbor Freight sells a lot of this stuff and it's cheap. Can cut them to length if you don't like all the extra strap. Some items a good ole bungee cord is best. I don't care for carabiner cause I hate stuff when it rattles.

Thank you everyone. Some great options listed - much better than my plastic zip ties.

My father in law had some magazine pouches that came with these plastic straps that just connect, like a fat zip tie but that’s not permanent. I’ll have to get a picture when I get home.

One wrap velcro straps. They come in various lengths and widths.

I also use these Malice clips on some of my stuff, in addition to velcro strips and the molle strips that come with the packs I use.
