Any experience or opinions concerning these winch mount? After reading about the leverage issues with the RC, I started looking at other options. These two mounts seem to pull more in line with the frame, possibility helping a heavy nose up/line level pull. I like the reasonable price too...$299. I would still reinforce the frame horns though.

Well, the Broaddict winch mount is out, no cut outs for the front sensors. Turn is the one.

Well, I started the work on installing the Turn Offroad winch mount and TYT winch today. I started with the frame reinforcement. Pulled the bumper (man it's heavy) and installed the LOD, Black-Ops Series frame tie ins. Took me half the day, with all the disassembly, drilling and filing, then a little bit of reassembly. That part is complete. Tomorrow will begin with the time consuming task of taking the bumper apart to ultimately move the two inside parking sensors. Not hard, but a lot of disassembly and reassembly. Maybe if that goes well, I'll be able to get the mount on.

I'm thinking about the Turn Offroad mount also . Looking forward to see yours and if you like it or not .

It's a pretty simple set up, only three main pieces. Seems pretty stout, I'd say it weighs about 35-40 lbs.
I'll try and get some pics up when I'm in process and when it's finished.

I'll put some pics up tomorrow if I can figure out how. The mount and all the electrical are in and ready for the winch...tomorrow I start on that.

R & L views.

I had to lengthen the driver's side sensor cable. No way it would reach.

We have winch!! If anyone has any questions, ask away. There were a few little quirks. I will be going to a closed system instead of the hook shortly.

Looks great! We're considering the bumper and winch mod after we finish the current F150 Ranger project. The rotors, fuel wheels, and toyo tires are on the mail so we might be able clear the garage this weekend.

My mount from Broaddict came in today and it has the openings for the sensors. No instructions though so me gots to figure it out on the go :)

Cool. Looks almost exactly like the Turn. The frame mounts are a bit different that's about it.

Interesting about the sensor cut outs. I called Broaddict directly and they said theirs didn't have them, that's why I went with the Turn. Low and behold.

Keep us posted on the install. I did have to extend the driver's side sensor wires. I also went with the bow shackles because the holes for recovery points were too sharp edged for soft shackles.

Got the winch mount from Broaddict installed today . It went fairly easy even though I was by myself. I filmed it with my cellphone so maybe I will edit a short video of how it went.
It actually looks to be a copy of the JCR Offroad mount. Looking around the web today I ran across their website and it almost looks identical.

I can see from the pictures that the Broaddict sits about 2 inches higher than the Turn, and that the Broaddict tray is closed on the back, open on the Turn. Whether that makes a different concerning anything...IDK.

Did you reinforce the frame ends?

Cool hood, what is it?

The 2" higher may actually help with approach angle although the 2" lower mount would subjectively look better.
I did not reinforce the frame ends. Is that something that Ford does when you purchase their winch kit installed ? I can't see the need with the type winching I will be doing. Probably going with a 9.5k Smittybilt as I've had great service back in the day from the brand. I can get this one for $503 shipped and it should fit and work fine for my needs. Thought about a Badlands Apex but the Smitty has a Lifetime mechanical and 5 year electrical warranty that sways me from the HF .

Some good info for winch newbies if you scroll down this page .

The hood is a Cervini's Stalker that I ordered pre-painted from Lethal Performance.

Informative website. I plugged in 6,100 lbs GVW, my estimate of my Bronco with gear, and the wife and I, into it. I have 13K winch, maybe overkill, but a little piece of mind. I am going to have the rig weighed at a scale near me ($20) to get an accurate weight.

I don't know if Ford reinforces the frame from the factory when you order their winch package. If I could get a look at an Everglades it might be informative. After reading some stuff here and on Bronco6g, I installed the LOD kit to try and mitigate any future issues on winch usage.

Here is my install of the Broaddict winch plate. I don't think I will have any issues from it and it does look comparable to the JCR that a friend of a friend has on his 4dr. "That was only 200 bucks ?" was his first comment when he saw it looked the same. Time will tell but I am only going to put a 9.5k winch on it and I don't do sketchy pulls anyway :) I had it on in 2hrs by myself and that was including soldering a 10' extension on the parking sensor wires.

Nice, simple video. The sensor mounting is different on the Turn, they supply these brackets that pin the sensor into the opening from the rear, no grommet of any kind. I had to do considerably more surgery on the harness to get them close to the sensors, and did have to extend the driver's side, a bit of a hassle. The bow shackle mounts are closer to the bumper than the Broaddict. Other than that, they are very similar. Good job.

I see the mount is not flush against the bumper. Is there enough room to keep my factory bull bar?
