I searched and didn't find anything. Are there any other manufacturers that make something like this that has a storage container and other mounting for items.? Would be cool to see something like this with some rotopax mounts on the sides for some liquid storage.

I gotta say I like the look and functionality of this. I wonder how it addresses the vents on the back door

Interesting, I think it would look better if the high mount tail light was lower.

Inside the new storage cabinet of course...

This would be for people who are either not taking a spare with them or mounting on the roof rack. The goal is to improve the clearance when doing ledges so that you don't damage the tailgate from hitting the tire. If I were going to a normal campground-type location, I would probably remove my spare for the extra storage of a spare tire storage solution.

I have two vehicles I wheel that do not carry a spare. My side x side and my Willy's. I am always nervous in my jeep not having one. In my 40+ years of owning it I have only needed the spare a time or two. And when you need it, you need it.
The side x side is like my Kubota Tractor. Tire repair kit, ratchet strap to get it back on the rim if it pops off and good clean living (okay, so 2 out of 3).

Plus if you wheel with other bronco's and you need one, it will probably only cost you a case of beer (FYI I drink Corona).

Smaller, lighter, easier and safer than carrying/changing a spare.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

True, but doesn't help if you have a serious sidewall cut, for example. Also, there are many organized runs that require you to have a spare. So unless you're moving it to the roof rack, I'm not a big fan of spare tire delete.

There’s many multitudes of possibilities to disable a vehicle on the trail or road. Do you have a remedy for all? You can play the “if” game all day long.

Just because it doesn’t fit a particular person’s needs doesn’t mean it can’t work for someone. I personally think this tailgate box is too heavy.

Bronco on!

So you take no spare parts at all? No tools, no recovery equipment etc? Just depend on others if you run into trouble? We play the what if game all the time off-road. Frankly, most of the spare tire deletes I’ve seen have been done for looks on pavement princesses. But it’s your Bronco to do with as you please.

Yup, and what if your fuel pump fails? Been on a run recently where. that happened. To your point, you can't be prepared for everything, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't be prepared for anything. You have to be prepared for the "most likely" however. BTW, I've been on runs where a J**p did end up with 2 side wall slices. BTW, that was also the guy who insisted that he didn't need to air down ... I think he learned a valuable lesson that day. 😎 So, back to the original point. I think that if you're on an offroad run, you need to be as prepared for things to go wrong as possible. Assuming that others will be able to supply what ever you need, just so that you can look cool isn't, well, it's kinda not cool.

Most that wheel bring a spare _________ or carry the tools needed for _______ based on experience, destination and skill to repair/replace. At one time (jeep), I carried a spare axle after breaking several.
Also as driver skill changes, so may the things to carry change. Your new found skill/experience may make you carry more parts because your going to challenge you and your vehicle more, or less because you just don't break as much anymore, like after you learn to air down or read the trail better.

There is no perfect answer for what to bring.

Wait, I take that back. there is one thing you can bring that will almost always get you back, a friend and another vehicle, two of those work even better.

Now that said, I would not remove my Bronco spare.

I would rather have “it” and not need “it” than need “it” and not have “it”.

And this is great peace of mind for a side wall repair

Sat and watched a video on them knifing two tire sidewalls and then running the rubicon.... seemed to help if the cut was in the raised text to have a battery grinder along to flatten the area.

I have also seen people stack plugs to repair a slice....

Pros and cons to carrying a spare on the back.... break over and weight.... Drop off a ledge and that spare catches... you cave in the tail gate. Seen video of it happening.

I like having a spare, but I can also embrace fixing most tire issues on the trail to limp back home.

That actually make some decent sidewall repair kits. I do not have one, but seen several YouTube videos of them being used on Bronco's. I have a puncture repair kit, but that only plugs a nail (or similar type) hole.

Haha, the debate can go on and on! 😁

Those sidewall patches seem pretty nice after watching the videos... I will be getting a kit. And yes... carry plugs as well. Just not convinced yet I can carry a 40 inch spare. I know there are some options. Just not completely sold on any of them as of yet, while I am trying to figure out additional gas cans.
