Has anyone else installed the Rough Country MLC-6 multi light controller for the Bronco? MLC-6

I installed it on on my Black Diamond 2door because I liked the fact that I only have to splice into the wires from the aux switches once and it makes all 6 switches 30 amp. Also makes it easy to change what accessories are on each switch. Problem I’m having is with fitment. Seems like the bracket is 1/8 - 1/4” too tall. When the cover is on it makes contact with the underside of the hood and keeps the driver side from closing flush with the fender. Is also leaving rub marks on the cover. I have emailed RC as well as leaving a review pointing out these concerns but have not heard back from them and the review has not been posted. Anyone have any ideas other than taking a hammer to the front edge of the cover to adjust its shape? Will try to edit to add images won’t let me from mobile today. Edited to add photos.... new site acts weird.

Good to note both on the fitment and lack of response. I noted their tailgate reinforment doesn’t fit exactly either without modification. Pretty slack for something CNC machined, they need to edit their template.

I recently tried to install and have observed the same issue - although mine may be a little worse. I did email and received a same day response, but they just asked for pictures and said that they have never heard of issues yet…
It looks like they need a new bracket and a new cover design.
Please let us know if you find a solution and I will do the same.

I did some impact modifications with a hammer to the end of the cover that was making contact with the hood. Once I noticed it was rubbing off paint I opted not to wait for a response from them. Chase Dudley is the rep I have been talking to. [email protected]

Thank you for the response. I added Chase to my email thread. I will update with how Rough Country responds.

Thank you again for the previous response. Last I heard from RC, they were sending the pictures that I supplied to their R&D team. Not sure if this means much, but I will have to follow up, as I have 2 of these units that cannot be used as designed.

Can I ask, does you hood have a liner in place? I was hoping that maybe when RC designed, they used measurements without one in place (so maybe using using a lower profile liner like the one from IAG would help) but this does not appear to be the case. I finally got around to removing my liner to experiment and the MLC6 still makes contact with the underside of the hood. Definitely does not fit as designed.

Also, how did you go about modifying with a hammer? Does the weld on the edge break allowing the pieces to be bent? Any chance you could post a picture? I would really appreciate being able to see what to expect / what works.
Thank you.

Just knocked the offending edge down. Took it slow and tested the fit several times. Only need like 1/4” it’s ugly but the hood closes now.

I am posting the latest, just in case it may help someone else.
I am still waiting for RC R&D to respond regarding a fix. It has been a few weeks since any update, so a little frustrating.
I noticed that the website now says that models with a hoodliner may interfere with the hood closing properly - this is not correct / complete. I have tried removing the liner in both of our Broncos (both are 4Dr, 2.7L, Badlands, Sas) and the hood still does not close as there is still contact between the MLC-6 and the hood.
It seems that my case is a little more severe than what is pictured above (thank you dover157). I believe that the entire front edge would have to be bent down significantly (and the bracket would also have to be a little shorter as well) to fit in our Broncos without contact.
I have also tried to leave a review on the website - we'll see if it is actually posted.

Well $hit, I liked the idea of all being 30 but not with all the headaches and no responses from RC then.

Just another update.
I did try to reach out to Rough Country over the weekend, but no response…
Also as previously indicated, I did submit a review as well. I received a “verify your email” response, but of course the review/rating is not posted on their website. Suspicious how every rating on that website is 5 stars.

Does anyone happen to know if there is a RC representative that is present on this forum?

Typical website "rating" software that filters anything usually below a 4* and as you see doesn't post the rest.
Pretty old and shady tactic to use if you have a legit business and care about your customer's thoughts.
Keep us posted cuz was really interested in it but given the lack of response and issues that quickly is fading
