I have a 2021 Bronco Big Bend. The gas tank door does not lock when the doors are locked. I ordered a locking gas cap from the Ford website, 8U5Z9C268B, but it does not fit. That’s the only one I was able to find. Is there another available? If so, what is the part number?

I would not expect your new Bronco to be able to use a locking gas cap since it was designed to not need a gas cap. This is considered a feature not a flaw. The door is also not equipped with a locking mechanism as some cars are where you must use a lever from inside the car to 'pop' it. again, not something that I would expect to find on the Bronco since I dont know if any of the SUV or Trucks Ford is making has this option. With the current price of gas I understand your concern but a dedicated thief would find it easier to just cut a gas line under the vehicle anyway to get what they want that way if they found the gas tank door to be locked.

The capless design has multiple anti-siphon features which is why you have a special funnel in the back to add gas should you need to refuel from a gas can. They are actually more secure than a locking cap on a regular filler neck.

I want a locking gas cap, but not because I am worried about theft. I am worried about vandals pouring something other than fuel in my tank. Sometimes there is more give than take.
