Hi Guys & Gals!!

NT Auto's original Bronco Traceable Security Tag thread went to the Bronco Nation "Vault" following the new site transition Fall 2022.

We wanted to create a fresh new thread for the Bronco Nation community in the appropriate sections for both Bronco and Bronco Sport vehicles.

We also pasted the original security tag thread below for added info, customer reviews, posterity etc.

If you have any questions or would like to leave us a review please feel free to do so anytime on this fresh new thread.

Additionally, if you would like to purchase a set of Bronco Traceable Security Tags custom made exclusively by NT Auto for your Bronco OR Bronco Sport--you can buy em right here on Bronco Nation in the link below šŸ‘©

*Super easy 5 min DIY install just peel & stick. Plus your Bronco security tags come with a lifetime recovery registry in the event your vehicle is stolen and recovered by law enforcement with Vin tags removed so police can identify the rightful owner 24/7. The unique code number on the tag that's associated with you & your vehicle + NT 800 number are both traceable even if the tags have been removed from the vehicle by thief šŸ‘

I know I’m missing something big here ? What good does a tag do if you can just take it off. 🫣😳

We're happy to help @Bronco202. The install instructions we posted in pic above also explain more about the product.

Even if removed, the security tags still leave a UV mark (your Bronco's unique code number + NT 800 number) on the metal surface of the vehicle via door jambs, trunk lid and under hood. The UV mark remains on the surface for years even if the tag has been removed.

Other brands will fade or even fall off over time vs our brand which will not fade or fall off even in the harshest climates hot or cold.

For $15 our Bronco security tags are a simple cool effective practical custom additional security layer for your Bronco, which also includes FREE shipping, window warning deterrent sticker, and Lifetime registry membership for as long as you own your Bronco. Product also ships same day if your order is received by 12pm PST.

As of today, we've sold our Bronco Traceable Security Tag kits to over 60 satisfied Bronco retail customers since we released the product January 2022.

If you have anymore questions please let us know how we can help!! 😁

I have two questions?
1) According to the installation guide it says to put it in the door jamb to be protected from UV light. If we put it on the door jamb and we ride with the door off quite a bit will the UV harm the stickers?
2) Do you have an Everglades version?
Thanks for your help.

Okay. No prob.

Even if doors off the tags are very durable. Temporary UV exposure for a day or week not an issue. If parked outside 24/7 maybe the design on labels would eventually fade from prolonged UV exposure but the marks on metal should still hold up fine. Great question btw.

I forgot to mention outside of Bronco, we sell thousands of these per year on all car models mainly located in the NW.

At the moment we dont have security tags for Raptor, Everglades or Heritage. However, if you can send us a Hi-Res everglades logo pic we will begin adding those to our roster. Either way we should have em avail by Q2. Apologies not yet available in EG trim.

Okay. See pics. Here are a couple examples of Bronco logo trims we pulled from another source last year and utilized to create the program for you guys. If you can help provide the EG trim logo in same Hi-Res format I will personally begin working on it sooner than previously predicted above. And yes just posit it in this thread or feel free to DM us

I hide an AirTag in a rugged enclosure (look up TagVault) somewhere outside the vehicle. A security plate ain’t gonna help if your Bronco is headed for a shipping container to South America, or getting chopped up for parts. A metal plate isn’t necessary to determine ownership if your Bronco is recovered and it’s useless if it isn’t. It’s not a bicycle. The VIN is recorded all over the vehicle. I really don’t want the police handing me a door and saying ā€œhere’s what’s left of your Broncoā€ either. It certainly isn’t going to deter anybody except maybe if they laugh themselves to death. You need to understand the auto theft world if you’re going to make a product that will make any difference. This will not dissuade a single car thief, even if they were to notice the label - which they won’t. Can we please not make worthless products that sell a false sense of security? Sorry if this seems harsh, but it does Bronco owners a disservice and comes off as just another money grab.

Feels like windows etched with the VIN…
If your car makes it to a chop shop you’re likely toast anyway, but your VIN is likely already in more places on your car than you know…

I like the AirTag thought, though

You always have negative comments. First, we invented vin etching with chemical and lasers and marked millions of cars over 40 years. We've been in this business, auto security especially, probably longer than you have been alive.

Moving on. If you want to better understand the product take the time to read our posts about how it works. Normally it also comes with theft protection warranty coverage but since this is retail and not a dealership we offer the traceable security tags that leave a permanent mark on the metal even if removed, along with a lifetime recovery registry membership + free shipping + custom designed for your bronco trim all for a few bucks.

Have a nice day

That is the whole point of vin etching and security tags...chop shops have to paint and/or remove the windows if they don't want the car to be traced after sold on the black market. The cost to replace all vin etching windows or paint isn't worth it to the thief, so they move onto an easier target.

We also offer a pedal guard digital security system that's built into the throttle controller product we sell. Great for added peace of mind if parking at a trail-head, going to the beach, parking in an uncertain area etc. If you want to see how it works here is one of our youtube vids.

I still don't understand the value of these tags? Are they are like the other ones, you can take them off the vehicle once it is stolen? If so then how does this prevent your truck from getting taken? This reminds me of a gun free zone.

I’m generally a positive person on this forum, but I’m also a realist … and your response sure says a lot about you. And no, I don’t believe you know much about vehicle security in todays world. Maybe 40 years ago, this made sense. It is not a worthwhile product today.

I agree, you do come off as a little obtuse and combative some times. Might just be that you're a no nonsense type. This doesn't always come across very well in a social media platform. I'm sure you don't intend to come across that way. We all like to keep it positive. Sometimes when you see something you don't like or a comment you don't like, maybe just move on.

Like I said, I’m a realist. If calling someone out for taking your money and giving you something useless in return is negative, so be it. But I’d hate for people to waste their money on something like this and actually think it makes them more secure. I don’t think it’s right to just move on past snake oil salesmen so they can take advantage of others.
