BImini top question

Good evening, all!

New Bronco owner here. Just bought my '21 Big Bend edition back in Dec, and I'm loving it so far.

I have a standard soft top and I'm on the verge of buying a bimini top like the one below. Here's my question - can I still close and fasten my soft top with the bimini on? Or is it one top or the other?

Next question - do you have a recommendation on one? The one here at Bronco Nation seems pretty reasonable ($209 for members).

Let me know what you think!

Welcome to the Nation and glad ur enjoying your new ride. Unfortunately, I can’t answer your question even though I have a soft top i don’t have a bimini. Just wanted to say hello and welcome. Someone here will help for sure!

Yes you can. I bought the bimini top from Ford's site (actually a Best Top bimini) and never remove it. You can leave it on under both the soft top and hard tops. Congrats on the purchase. Bimini top has been one of my favorite additions. You get the open air feel but some shade from the direct overhead sun.

I have the solid Bimini top from https://thebronconation.com/bronco-...ll-sun-protection-and-100-mph-tested-t.18785/
Needed something a little more solid to keep the sun off. Used it today in fact. I keep it on under the hard top. If I had a soft top I would remove the rear windows and roll down the windows and roll that way.

Just a quick point of clarification - Bimini tops can stay on under the soft or hard top however, the front mounts that attach to the windshield header must be detached in order for the tops to fully/properly secure (and all the Bimini options that I am aware of have an accommodation for this).

Welcome to Bronco nation - Congrats on your Bronco Too! As Mr Bschurr mentions the bimini's front hooks are attached to keep the bimini secure when your softtop's open. Also, there are corner snaps & strap to further secure the bimini in place. These elements reduce the bimini's flapping around while the top's open.

Cheers
