Painted Fenders? (sasquatch)

Torn on what to do with my fenders on a 2dr base sasquatch. I don't like the grey plastic look on the stock fenders and I'm trying to see what's the best option.

At first, I really like the fender deletes from 4WP. Think it'll look especially good with the sasquatch. Would do the paint protection film and ceramic coating to protect the paint.

However, I've been seeing some broncos with their fenders painted?

- Is this an option from the factory with Ford?
- If not, you get it done at a local shop and they will be able to get the matching paint from Ford?
- How does the paint fair over time on the plastic?

I've tried looking through painted fender posts and haven't been able to find anything

The Outer Banks has color matching fender flares. In the accessories catalog, they have paintable fender flares.

Do they have paintable Sasquatch flairs? But there is no reason you can’t put no squatch OBX painted fender on your rig you will just have a bit of tire poke. Also you have to make sure that is legal in your state. Here in Texas really the only thing you need is that damned front plate.

They are not SAS flares and are an AM brand.

So... If I get the sasquatch package, but I want my fender flares painted... I have to add the painted fender flares from the accessory catalog... however they are not Sasquatch flares?

What defines sasquatch flares? They're bigger?

They are wider and more of a textured material. Probably not easy to paint. If you want wider but painted fenders flares you will probably have to wait for the aftermarket. Unless Ford makes it an option in the future.

I think painted fenders just look too good. If I can put painted fenders on a SAS bronco, however they will be a little thinner, I think that's an easy trade off.

Curious how easy/difficult they are to install, would love to go between painted fenders and 4wp's fender deletes.

Curious if anyone else has opted for painted fenders on a SAS model...?

They are probably the easiest thing to change out on the Bronco. Just a twist of a few thumb screws and they are off.

And FYI painted fenders are not an option on the Sasquatch package. You either have to use the more narrow fenders from the OBX or wait for the aftermarket.

Appreciate all the info. Glad the fenders are easy to change, want to be able to swap out. I'll obviously get the Sasquatch fenders with the package, then I will buy the painted fenders from Ford, then the fender deletes from 4WP, with the intention of changing them out based on what im using it for...

FINAL QUESTION

Will the painted fenders from ford look weird with the sasquatch package? They might not fully cover the tire, just wondering if it's weird look or other recommend against it

Paintable stock style fender flares are listed in the Ford Bronco accessories catalog . I think there are wide options available as well .

I am looking at getting my SAS fender flares painted and curious if anyone else had done or if had any issues. The body shop told me they won't' warranty the work and it may peel off after a while.

I looked at the Ford site and the paintable fender flares with bolt-on don't look good.

I just ran across a post on B6G where an owner had his Sasquatch fender flares sanded smooth and painted. It cost him $250 per flare. Me thinks you could get a set of OBX take-offs for much less than $1000.

Painting a textured surface like the fender flares or MIC top is tricky because automotive paint isn’t designed for surfaces like that.

But, marine paint for painting boat bottoms is a little more forgiving and you can possibly try that (but, it’s just a thought - I have no real experience)

I have a body shop that has painted a couple sets of SAS flares it is a bit of work because of the texture but it is definitely a possibility!

I just check with Ford body shop and they won't warranty the work due to texture on the flares. Are there any aftermarket flares not the FORD bolty version which doesn't look good?
