Key fob anti theft mode?

I’ve read a couple of articles saying that newer Ford key fobs go into “sleep mode” after forty seconds, which prevents thieves from skimming their signals and stealing the vehicle. Do 2021 Broncos have this tech? The owner’s manual mentions that the fob msy not work if it hasn’t moved for a minute or so.

No clue but, if it does - that’s pretty cool. I am sure one of the smart contributors here will chime in with some definitive details.

It does and it’s been around since at least 2017. But that just works on the doors. They can still copy the signal and open and drive away. It just makes where you don’t have to hit the unlock/lock buttons. It’s another reason they are starting to use other technology.
You can get the Faraday pouches to protect your FOB when not using the vehicle. They sell them on Amazon. Can also buy the material.
