Any fixes for scratched door panels? Can they be covered with any aftermarket accessories, wraps or such? I bet there is large market to find a solution and fix this poor plastic material choice by Ford

With all due respect, it's a Bronco. It's meant to be used, have its plastic scratched, etc. The plastic is relatively durable and I think that was the goal with its rough texture, etc. aimed at hiding surface imperfections. Not sure there'd be a way to wrap a textured surface anyway.

How deep are the scratches on your panel? If it is superficial and is only going into the clear coat a car detailer can sand and buff it out and reapply the clear coat. You can also do this at home with the right products. You can help protect it going forward by wrapping it in PPF though that will probably set you back around $3,000 to $5,000 for a full wrap. If you are going to take it rock crawling, overlanding or off roading expect pin striping and wear them as a badge of honor.

How about some pictures to know what you are talking about? How long have you had it, where exactly are the scratches? how did you get them or were they on it when purchased? Gotta help us out here.

I also think you'd be hard pressed to find a car without a plastic door interior nowadays.... Lol. I have four cars, every one has plastic somewhere on the door... Except my 51 Ford, which is carpet, and I'm guessing that would hold the dirt terribly on a Bronco....

My son put his sock feet on the dash of my wife's explorer and scratched the hell out of the surface. I think in today's world of softer plastics, it's just an inevitability.

As far as the markings which seems to be when skin rubs it... Try rubbing with MICROFIBER cloth... ALL of mine came right off.

I just bought a car off a hardcore car guy and he told me "never armor all anything. Wipe it clean with a dry microfiber cloth and call it good.."

I've been doing that on my cars now, and I agree....

Easy fix...no feet on the dash, no drinks in the holds, or truck for that matter, nothing with glitter on it, incase you have granddaughters, no chips, pretzels, or chocolate, must put on shoe protectors before you get in. If your pants are dirty take them off. The dog...she can ride with me anytime!!

Try to avoid kicking your door panels when getting out of your vehicle. That will greatly reduce scratching.

I would have been satisfied with painted steel/aluminum interior door panels and dashboard.

That's kinda my rules most of the time. The explorer is my wife's car, and we won't talk about how she and the kids treat (or don't treat) their cars. :ROFLMAO:
