Yeah putting the handheld in the cubby under the radio would always cause us to get crazy static when no one was keying the mic in our group.
I went the Bfong 25w was going to go the 50w but the 25 is waterproof. I did add the midland ghost antenna not the best for range but works well for us. I am using the Trackform phone mount I just glued some washers to the back of the handset so it sticks.
