JBL Non- Amplified Sound Bar - YAY or NAY?

My brother in law has had one for sale for some time now. Don't remember what he was asking, but I do believe it is the amplified version. After you pay +/- $100 for the radio flash, the sound blows away the base sound system. He didn't like it because it completely blocks your view out the rear. I've often considered trying it out. Sorry I couldn't answer the question on the non-amplified, my only experience has been with the amplified sound bar.

Actually I didn't even consider the view from the rear, so that's a really good point! I haven't seen an amplified version, is that sold from Ford? My thoughts were the same too if it would be too hard to balance the sound with my sub once I get that installed in the trunk. It seems like it may be a hassle I don't want to deal with 😂

Me and him both have 2021 Broncos... and I believe the one he got was the more expensive amplified version.

But yes, rear view mirror basically becomes useless at that point, which is why he eventually switched to the 6.5" pods. I told him we could try rotation it so it's sort of above the crossbar (has soft top), but who knows what the sound would be like then.
