I own a 2022 2D OBX and am looking for options for mounting a fire extinguisher. Have you come up with a solution? If so, please share a photo/description. Thanks!IMG_0851.jpg

Not sure which fire extinguisher, but either what the others have said. I have the Element fire extinguisher and love the magnets mounts.

That’s a sweet setup if it works well… gotta go to YouTube to watch some videos on it LOL!

I keep an Element 50 fire extinguisher in each of my vehicles.

Get a magnetic mount or 2 and attach it to the roll bar or mount under your front seat

Not to get off topic on the fire extinguisher, but @Soupcook, that background looks similar to Florida. Are you located in Florida? If so, what dealer did you buy your Bronco through? I have the exact same spec and am still waiting to be scheduled for production.

Put an Element in every car, and in your garage and kitchen, too.

I asked him about that, I hope he doesnt mind if I quote him, but he said “The shovel was from Harbor Freight. It’s 27” and NOT collapsible. IIRC it’s a fiberglass handle and made well.”. I went to their site, and its almost 11 bucks, not including any taxes/shipping.
That’s correct.

JCROffroad makes molle racks for the rear windows. How about the wraps that go around the roll bar. I have two of them in my JK.

I watched the video on this. I like the concept, but it seems as tough you have to get very close to the fire to put it out. Probably perfect for a grill (as demonstrated) but a fire in the engine or campground may not be a great tool IMO.

Echoing the other's comments about the Element fire extinguisher. Lightweight, super portable, powerful sweep. Saves weight and space in the cabin. These are approved for use by the Porsche Club of America to meet safety requirements for use at our High Performance Drivers Education (HPDE) events.

I purchased it at Jarrett Gordon Ford in Winter Haven, FL at MSRP. I reserved on 7/14/2020; ordered same on 1/20/21 in Rapid Red and then reordered 10/8/2021. It was built 1/5/2022 and I received it 1/22/2022. OBX/2.7L/Lux/rack/HD bumper/SAS

Is it SCCA approved?

No. In general, SCCA requires on-board fire-extinguisher systems for competition cars (except T3, T4, STL, Spec Miata, B-Spec, and Improved Touring... Though SCCA would prefer all drivers employ on-board systems.) Whether electric or mechanical extinguisher systems, these on-board systems are - at a minimum - designed to project their retardant on the driver in the cockpit and protect him/her. The pit crew / rescue crews will fight the blaze on the engine. Some systems - particularly the electrical systems - may have a second bottle aimed in the engine bay but those are more expensive.

Yes or no would have sufficed.
17 years (1983-2000) in NER SCCA, flagged, was in a training video for fire fighting, help write the IT rules when the class was started, organized track events for clubs. Been out of it for about 20 years. If New England Region approved it, it would be a no brainer.

I use the one from BADASS MOTO GEAR. Made for jeep but perfect for bronco. Also, I work for the fire department so there's also information on what's best for a vehicle fire.

Hope this helps!
