New Bronco owner and looking to add some storage with security and came across this on the "Big3 Auto Parts" website. Claiming genuine Form parts, etc. Wondering if anyone has used, thoughts or alternatives. I am looking to add something that will give storage but also level up with the rear seats when they are laid down. I have a daily need to haul 5' ladder that fits perfectly when seats are down, but annoying with the drop off.

Yeah, that looks like Tuffy's drawer. I don't have one, but most reviews like 'em.

Right you are. You can get it from Tukffproducts or from Ford. I got mine from Ford with my Ford Points. Two years installed, no problems at all. It does leave a gap of about 1.5 inches each side, between the cargo box and the wheel well. I use those spaces, one side for a 12"x12"x3/4" plywood base for my jack, the other for an umbrella, spaceblanket and a few other once-in-a-while small things.

Oh--about your jack. You will loose access to the little compartments under the cargo floor for your jack and stuff. So that now goes in the new storage drawer.

It's a one-man install, took me under two hours. Yeah, it holds lots of stuff, and the lock is good to have, too. The sections can be removed partly or all. Obviously, it uses up a fair bit of your cargo space. Very strong steel, the shelf runners likewise, which makes me suggest: Keep track of all your accessories, as the weight does go up--and the mileage goes down.

Good point, what’s this drawer weigh?

85 pounds. Like a serious eating habit, accessories do add up! I found that even with the install, there was enough space between the rear of the drawer cabinet and the swing gate to mount a fold-down table that's 2.5 inches thick. Getting into the back and side areas to vacuum and tidy up is a bit challenging. You'll want a long, skinny vacuum wand. And as I pointed out, those under-floor tool and storage bins? Kiss them goodbye.

It will block the sound of your base speaker a little, but so will a load of camping gear. Compensate on the system equalizer by boosting it up a little.

I found this thread on the other site. Should answer all your questions.
