Grabber blue grab handles?

I am wondering what prompted Ford to put a grabber blue stripe on all the grab handles of all their trim selections. Why not use a more neutral color that matches the dash, or customise each one to the exterior color of the vehicle.

Good question...many are thinking the same. The good thing is they are easily swapped out so at least you have that option if you rather go with another color. I am sure the AM will come with options as well.

Every grab handle from every trim does not have grabber blue accents, just an FYI. Welcome to BN though!

Black Diamond has it. Also Outer Banks with the roast interior.

And Wildtrak is Area 51 right? What about Black Diamond?

Yes, that's correct, at least according to the color and materials walk-through video. I'm pretty sure I saw WT photos with red accents at some point though, so I don't know if that was old pre-production stuff or a recent change.
Also, there are a couple models that get different colored accents depending on the interior color choice (Big Bend, Outer Banks, and FE). This is what I've gleaned, correct me if I'm wrong:
Base - Gray
Big Bend (Gray) - Gray
Big Bend (Sandstone) - Sandstone
Black Diamond - Grabber Blue
Outer Banks (Navy Pier) - Gray
Outer Banks (Roast) - Grabber Blue
WildTrak - Area 51
Badlands - Active Orange
First Edition (Navy Pier) - Light Gray
First Edition (Black) - Dark Gray

Wow, great summary, thanks! I didn't realize accent colors could change depending on interior choice. I've only really been following Badlands.

Wildtrak has Area 51 color grab handles? Sweet! I’ll trade my Light Gray ones for some Area 51’s.

What I've wanted to know is why they put grabber blue on the inside, but didn't offer it as an exterior color.

I ordered the Badlands in Carb Gray which comes with Active Orange interior accents.
One approach is to replace them with aftermarket colors.
Another approach is to play the hand you are dealt.
The pic below is using approach #2.
Not sure what I will do.

I like those colors.
I have an order in for an OB and I absolutely hate the wheels. They look like they came off my neighbors F-150. I would like a wheel that looks like the Sasquash, but isn't a bead lock in an 18". Anyone make an aftermarket like that.

I'm going to be waiting for a while because I want a white painted top. Should look just like an O.J.when I am finished.

There are endless possibilities out there. I'll be looking for options as well when the time comes. I do like the steel wheels on the Black Diamond and think that would look good on my Carbonized Grey base.

There are quite a few vendors out there offering beadlock and beadlock look wheels. Not sure exactly like Squatch but check out Method wheels. They have some cool looking options in different sizes to include 18". Also, I am sure there will quite a few sets of Squatch wheels listed for sale as people customize their rigs.

I was thinking of these if I don't Squatch my Badlands. I dig the classic look and think they will standout with all the off-road rigs with black wheels out there. (y)

I would LOVE it if they matched the exterior color. That was my hope, so I might end up buying some color matched ones aftermarket.

I like the colored bead ring matching too. Which makes me really want to do that, but I can’t do that in body color, so then the question of what color comes up.

Speaking of headlock. They say headlock capable, but they aren’t locked from the factory. Guessing we have to do that ourselves too. Ugh.

Me too, I am not a huge fan of the colors but tend to sway more to blue vs orange. Guess if that's the worst issue I have then not a huge deal since we can swap them out. I liked the custom handles on the SEMA Bronc so hopeful the AM brings some cool options.

Yep, the beadlock wheels come with a trim/fake beadlock ring only. We will have to buy the beadlock rings from Ford Performance and install if wanting to run as a beadlock. I think they run about $180 each...yikes!

The grab handles are easy to swap out but the AC vent trim , Door/Seat netting and the seat stitching will have those color accents as well . If you change out just the grab handles then you are simply introducing yet another color into the mix ,LOL .
