The F150 will have the option F150 Generator Option avalible for the 2021 model year. It will be offered on a variety of drivetrains including the 2.7 Ecoboost. It would be an excellent option for off roading, trailer towing, or having power in general for anything and everything.

FORD IF YOUR LISTENING, this is the accessory to have in your future roll out.

Too bad the tow capacity isn't any higher, it would nice to have this for non electric campsites with a small travel trailer.

You mean the Bronco or F150? The F150 actually has a decent towing capacity. I think the 2021 F150 PowerBoost with the ProPower on-board 7.2kw inverter will be great for camping. We are ordering one so I have something to drive while waiting for my Bronco.

Oh no, the F150 has plenty of towing capacity, I was talking about the Bronco. Wish the thing was in the 5K range at the very least as a Ford Explorer. I do think that the onboard generator is quite a cool idea, and I like the fact that it doesn't take up any additional space in the bed.

I definitely don't have enough cash, or willpower to buy a different vehicle while waiting for the Bronco! Still rocking my 2013 Ford Expedition likely for at least another year (I don't have a reservation), as I have got to see, sit, and drive something if I am going to be spending $55K on a vehicle.

You should check out Kincer Chassis. They have an electric Gen 1 Bronco that they are working on.

That Powerboost F150 with the 7.2kW generator is really something. It would be AMAZING if the Bronco had something like that. Even the smaller generator say a 2kW or something plus the engine management that goes with it.

Problem with the Bronco is the GVWR, already having problems just adding a roof rack! o_O

That’s the concern with the battery. As I understand with the lower level F150’s, there’s just a generator but no battery.

I believe that’s true, I know with the PowerBoost and the 7.2kw generator there is a reduction in payload and towing capacity
