Ford/Rigid Light Bar

I just completed installation of the Ford Accessory Light Bar made by Rigid. I have a Base Squatch with soft top. I would not advise running this bar with a soft top if you spend a lot of time on the highway. The light comes with 2 brackets. We first installed the low mount because of it's much lower profile and just looks better. This mount creates a large amount of turbulence which causes noise and vibration in the soft top. The racket is unbearable and probably bad for the soft top. We switched to the high mounts and it stopped most of the buffeting but still causes some pretty pronounced wind noise. I'm wondering if anyone has installed this light bar or one similar to it on a hard top?

All lightbars or racks will cause that, completely normal. There are several threads on here talking about the noise. I had a Yakima bike rack back in the day and same thing

Thank you, I expected some noise but hoping that the lower mount that puts the light bar almost flush with the roof line may be a lot quieter on a hard top and not pound the soft top with turbulence.
