Mud flaps and other miscellaneous upgrades.

I'm looking to do some minor upgrading to my Bronco and one of the first things I want to do is find the best value in good mud flaps. Any suggestions to aid my search? I had Weathertech on my 2019 Ranger and were happy with them, but they are a bit overpriced from what I've seen. Most of the non- drill type seem to be basically the same,Maybech etc., is there a difference?

Are you doing any serious off-roading/crawling? That will change what people may recommend to you. I went with IAG mudflaps at first and then snapped one while off-roading. I just upgraded to RokBlokz since they are quick detach and provide more paint protection.

I put the RokBlokz on just the front of mine day 1. It has been off road a few times and while I know they come off easy, I never think about it. And so far they are still there.
They took a few minutes to install.

On my Super Duty I use Gaterbacks and man are those well made and extremely durable.

I would recommend both products

Not intending to doing any rock crawling, it isn't really an option where I live. The off roading will be limited to farm fields mostly while inspecting fields and other housekeeping items around the farm.

another thing I am thinking of doing is the hood tie down/trail marker delete. I see that DeeZee makes an aluminum set but there are mixed reviews concerning fitment. I also found a set made from UV inhibited nylon produced by Blumak3d. Does anyone have any input on this that could help?

I have the Gatorback flaps. Like the ones mentioned above the lower flap can be easily removed on the trail if you are into the rock stuff. They do a great job of protecting the entire side of the truck. Going through a lot of slush & snow in MI now and nothing gets on the side of the truck. No drill installation. They are easy to install, great instructions and videos if needed. They look good on your truck. Flaps, IMO, are like the old Fram commercial, pay me now, or pay me later. My 2¢

Thinking there is little value of rear mud flaps for vehicle protection. The front wheels seem to do the damage.

You're protecting drivers behind you: less spray and wash in sloppy weather, and possibly stones that the OEM "Territories" may have grabbed and are notorious for kicking up--and back. Do unto others, you know.
Aesthetically, I think a truck looks off-balanced (for lack of a better term) if there are front-only mudflaps.

Added these today. Had to make a decision on whether or not to leave the factory stickers and as to where to put them if I left the stickers. This is what I decided to do what do you guys think?

I did say your vehicle. I put IAG mini front flaps on my Bronco and they look totally factory and not anything close to off balance.
Yes they may not work for everyone but personally I’d rather have a couple of paint chips than wearing a set of some of those extremely ugly mud flaps. Pick your poison.
And it’s really not that hard to clean rocks out of tires before entering the roadway. Five minutes with a small screwdriver 🪛. It’s not hard to be responsible.

Points well made about folks behind you. The rears also help keep the mud and junk from getting in the rear bumper. I thought Moab requires flaps on street legal trucks...might be wrong.

I always like the Bronco Script. I think being next to the badge makes it reminiscent of when ford did the Sport or Eddie Bauer next to or part of the Bronco badge. Very cool

My wife can attest to that. She followed me in the Bronco and the Bronco threw a rock at her expedition. Maybe it was jealous of the expedition parking spot or showing off, who knows. But rear flaps would be kind to others.

Like some have mentioned. Rigid mud flaps aren't great for wheelin'. I learned the hard way that if you drop a wheel off a square rock...you will...break the flap. My plan, when I get to it, is to use the remaining good flap as a template, buy some 1/4" sheet rubber and cut my own, reuse the hardware, and see how that goes. Rears are unneeded IMO.

I really like your idea of designing and building your own. That’s exactly what I would do vs the other expensive, cumbersome, ugly options out there.
Good for you!

I have rally armor for mud flaps. Was super easy to install and no drilling new holes. I don't do much off roading, but they help with the day to day driving in all conditions.

Thanks. I've seen pictures of them placed in different positions, some with the decals removed and some with them in place. I was tempted with few different looks but settled on this one. I'm happy with it. of course, I can't figure out why the pictures I post switch orientation but that's another issue LOL.

Just say you took the picture when climbing a really steep hill.

Love the Bronco Script. I did something similar, except I spent way too much money on the script from Archetype Racing since they had an option to display your trim level with the script. I loved my Black Diamond stickers, so I took them off and made 1 into a patch.

I've installed a Rough Country High Winch Mount on the modular bumper and mounted a 12,000 LB Badlands winch.
