Front parking sensors with aftermarket bumper

I have a 2024 Badlands SAS. I recently installed a DV8 MTO V2 front bumper.

The directions were substandard and I originally did not have the parking sensors bezels in the right location. This was causing false alerts from the parking sensors.

I corrected that tonight, but I’m still getting false positives. If I drive along <5MPH I will get random false alerts from the middle 2 sensors.

Anyone have any experience with this bumper?

Is there any calibration needed for the parking sensors?

Any other thoughts?

Ahh - I know how annoying those false parking sensor alerts are!! I swapped our Wildtrak's bumpers for ARB and initially had those on our front bumper too. Our solution was a thorough cleaning of the sensor's front surfaces with a mild soapy microfiber cloth and the driverside front bumper wiring harness connection.

I think our wiring harness connection was the main problem. It was packed with sand, grit, silt & crap and wasn't getting a good connection. That thing took 30 minutes of detailed picking/cleaning with a pick tool, Q-Tips, pipe cleaners. & compressed air.

After cleaning the connector it easily slid into place with a solid 'click' and we've had no false alerts since.

Thanks. I think I made some progress on mine. I think they are falsely triggering on the road. I slightly angled the inner sensors up with a washer and so far haven’t gotten a false trigger. Need to come up with some more permanent.

Unfortunately, the washers improved things, but on my 20 mile drive to work today I had them falsely trigger 4 times. Always with nothing in front of me but road....

Not getting good support out of DV8 either. They previously were very responsive but going on a couple days without a reply to my email.
