FORD OEM Warn Winch plate - two different styles??

I have one in storage that is probably 3 years old i am not using. i can look at it and see what style it is if you want. I would guess that would be the old style.

i just bought the MAXAMUS-3 removable mount.

No need to dig through the garage... I purchase one yesterday FORD had a $$ discount... but still wondering why the two different plates and if the sides are add ons or ever sold? I like the side pieces they give the plate a nicer look and I will make them if they are not in my box...

I want to add a winch when heading out but be removable too...
Where the FORD M-1821-B doesn't say or show it, it to will be easy to switch back and forth. Just a couple more bolts than the MAXAMUS-3 removable mount.

The Ford will need two bolts Push BAR each side to remove the bracket and winch, and three each side to remove the mounts.



The Maxamus-3 just two pins. Any thoughts on how you will secure them from theft?

The thing i loke about the Ford kit is it looks like you can Flat Tow with that one. i will have to take my brackets off to Tow it but it is only 4 bolts so should be easy. i will buy some spare bolts to keep just in case.

I have never seen anything other than the second winch mount in the wild. That first photo has been on the product listing since day one—my assumption is it was a prototype and was never actually sold.

Mine looks like the one without the extra end bits. That winch hangs way out there so it will take a bit of abuse in v notch canyons.

i went to storage and looked at it and it is the same as the second pick. so yes the first is probably pre production.
