Not an experienced off-roader here. Looking forward to my first Bronco. Wondering what types of Mods are common for using the AUX Switches? All that comes to mind are additional lights and maybe a winch. What are some others that AUX Switches are used for?

crazy but plow hook ups, aux audio hook ups anything you want to be able to control the power from a switch asside from the ignition switch.

Should have thought of the plow. Great point.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

Under hood air compressor might also be something you would hook up to the AUX switches.

You would not put a winch on any Aux switch circuit. Winch's draw too many amps for that, and are wired directly to the battery. I would mainly be using the Aux switches for lights and an air compressor to air up tires after you drop the pressure for trail riding.

Just watch your amp rating on these and you will be fine. For some of the larger Amps, you could always set it up with a relay. I am going to use mine for an unhealthy amount of lights and probably on-board air.
I would however encourage you to think about how you are going to use the truck and then optimize the set up for that. Ill be out in the desert, so I don't really need rocklights, but a light bar might make sense.

Nice to have different lighting options and be able to install without having to drill into console or dash for the additional switches

I would say the vast majority of the time AUX switches are used for lights. But air compressors, in-vehicle refrigerator/freezers, radios, winches, etc. are all common. Personally I intend on using two of them for lights, one for an air compressor, and a forth for a winch someday in the distant future. No plans for the other two currently.

For the lower power draw components (most lights), the AUX switches lines usually directly power them. For the higher power draw components (winch, air compressor, etc.), the switches don't directly power those components, instead they turn on/off relays which in turn will send power from the battery the component.
