Aux Switches Aftermarket

When I placed the order for my Big Bend back in March, I failed miserably and did not include the Aux Switch Accessory. I realized later I want it. I asked my dealer (who is very slow to respond at best) if I could add to the order without changing the build date (which already changed from June 7 to June 21). He said he would look into it but nothing yet.
Two questions for the hive mind...
1. Can the Aux switches be added to the order without changing/delaying my build?
or
2. Can the switches be purchased and installed after I take delivery (hopefully in Aug/Sep)?
TIA

You can have them install it after you receive it, I would imagine it would cost a lot more than the factory option cause the labor it will require to run the wiring throughout the vehicle. Also, if you already got a VIN and a build date, you can NOT add it to your order. Your order is now finalized.

1. If you already have a build date, nothing can be changed, you're locked in.
2. Anything is possible, but it's really unknown at this time. I don't know if the wiring pre-runs are on all broncos or only those with aux switches. If the pre-runs are there, it should be easy enough for the parts / service dept to order the overhead switch console and install it. If they need to run the wires for the aux, that might be different, either way it will be expensive

I'm willing to bet the wiring is there, doesn't make sense to not include 2 dollars worth of wiring only to have to add it to the vehicle IF the switches get ordered.

It's easy to add, if you're at least a shade-tree mechanic. I was literally just looking at this today for Jeeps:

Includes switch bank trim, switches, power distribution
center (PDC), bracket, wiring harness, cubby bin, tie straps
and splice kit.

I'm sure it's the same with the Ford. I've used the wiring from my Super Duty switches, and it's just run through the firewall with at an already established place. You can easily do the same.

There is no box or anything, just like going MOD Bumper you lose all the fog light controls and wiring or the soft top you get nothing plumbed or wired for a hardtop rear window

I can see losing the box and controls, but to take out the wiring from the harness? They would have to have a couple dozen versions of the wiring harness.
Someone has to get a close look at the wiring or schematics, Helm shows they won't be released until 12/31/21

Very common for them to have multiple wiring harnesses. I saw this with the Mustang and the Active Exhaust. You'd think the plugs would be there on all the cars but they definitely are not.

If there is no AUX box then there is no wire to run to the 6 points in the vehicle

Not to mention if there will be a distribution box, it’s a whole system not just the switches. The wires run to the distribution box so you can configure which switch is used for a different system, then the wiring runs through the relays at the box and out to the preplanned areas… honestly wiring is super easy, and this won’t be hard to do on your own, most people just don’t have the patience to do it cleanly.

@Commodore any chance you could research this topic and find out regarding the wiring and harness. Sounds like no one has sound intel on this yet?
