You will need to fabricate a cross bar behind the front seats for the shoulder belts. As for the submarine belt... i would go with a 6 point and mount each side to the bolt that holds the seat rails down. same with the lap belts.

Yes. You dont make decisions without reasons. It's a basic componemt of all decision-making.

Let me rephrase… Do I need to PROVIDE a reason before this council of my peers in order to ask about potential solutions/options haha ?

I haven’t seen anyone ask that question on any other accessory thread. Just seems like a strange thing to ask and a strange way to ask it.

Hoping to avoid the bar if possible. May not be a true 5 point without a bar, but looking for a similar harness solution.

Here... you will lose function of the rear seats. It uses the rear seat belt connections at the anchor. not sure who makes them. I have seen the in my racing days for racing harnesses.

Schroth Racing makes it for the Focus ST. I have it in my car and you get so many people sh!t talking you about it and it’s the only “True” street legal, plug and play solution with no drilling. Even had my local law enforcement check it and they said it was probably the coolest thing they have seen and that it was fully functioning and safe if installed correctly.

Yes, I've seen those discussions as to why you don't want a 5 or 6 pt harness if you don't have a roll bar. I've got my opinion about it but that's not what this thread is about and don't want this thread to go off the rails.
It really is a non-issue concerning the Bronco since it has a roll bar built into every build. How substantial it really is we really won't know for sure until we see the inevitable roll over pictures.
I can understand someone wanting to be held snug in their seats for certain off-roading conditions but not for every day use. I could even understand it more if you have the leather seats. Sometimes hard to hold herself in the right position when you are sliding around.

Just like every thing else in the world, if installed correctly, it functions as intended. I had multiple reasons for getting it, one being for the track, but the other being for the fact of keeping my waist snug against the seat and not sliding up as my car is a manual and your hips/legs are constantly moving. I fully support the product and got the cam lock one, so its 1 press and your released. I do wish it was a 5 point over 4 point, but I did not want to drill into my car at the time, that extra point does make a big difference

I guess I was wondering about it, because while I will be fully off road with my Bronco, I don’t intend to do any extreme, high speed or rock crawling with it. But now after Off Roadeo at Moab and getting a taste of both, this is something that is creeping into my mind. Thank you to @dsnow58 for asking the question. It was completely off of my radar until you asked, and now it is in a long line of things I am looking at! :ROFLMAO:

Don't be a douchebag. No, you don't even need to post here. You can do whatever you want, just like everyone else here, until we get moderated or booted from the site.

You're on a forum with people who may or may not understand the purpose of something like this, so they may ask questions. Or, people may offer insights, ask questions, provide feedback just because it is a space that provides those opportunities. It's almost universal to ask about intent in order to provide a purposeful answer, otherwise you get answers that don't apply to the question.

To more succinctly answer your question, as helpful as this might be, "yes, someone has figured it out". I hope that provides all of the information you need.
