Just a heads up for everyone who wants to add a 40" light bar to their bronco. Ford DOES NOT drill a hole in the soft metal spot next to the mounting post for the light bar like the videos show. When you drill the hole, it leaves a sharp edge and could cause your wiring for the light bar to short out. Most people are using a silicone sealant to fill the hole they drilled and this is not the best sealant to use in the hole.

The attached link is Ford's directions on how to mount and wire the light bar. If you read through the directions, it shows how ford runs the wiring under the seal.

Drilling through the roof was always the biggest turnoff of a light-bar for me. I'm so glad you provided this resource. YouTubers who can afford the fix have probably cost a lot of people a lot of money from poorly installed light-bars.

I'm right there with you. After they drill the hole, they pinch the wires under the mounting bracket. 😲
