2021 Ford Bronco First Edition Walk-Around Video

18

This is it: the last of the 2021 trim styles walk-around video series. Jordan takes the Bronco Nation through a Rapid Red 4-door Ford Bronco First Edition (FE), covering everything from the gloss black grille to the cameras. After that, we get a bonus look at a Lightning Blue 2-door FE and the differences between the door counts.

Reservations filled up quickly for this trim, with 3,500 units originally announced and more added, for an updated tally of 7,000. Since filming both sets of footage, we have learned new things, such as location for all 10 B&O sound system speakers, and new things have happened. We note those here in the article.

Starting on the exterior of the 4-door FE, you’ll see the familiar front end, with the grille design shared with Wildtrak and Badlands. Like the Wildtrak, the First Edition comes with hood and door graphics, an option that could be deleted upon ordering.

The Sasquatch package comes standard, giving you 35” tires, beadlock-capable wheels, and the wider fender flares. On the fender panel above the flares, this Bronco has the “generation 1” First Edition badge style, not fully reflective of the final design. We also are looking at the MIC top.

Moving around to the rear of the vehicle, you’ll see the upgraded taillights and the intelligent access tailgate. Standard on the FE is the B&O sound system with 10 speakers and a subwoofer.

Inside this FE is the Navy Pier interior option. The Black Onyx all-black leather is also an option and no longer late availability. First Edition accent colors are gray. In the backseat, which sits higher than the front seats, three child seats can be tethered, and it fits tall adults or teenagers comfortably.

The FE has lots of technology options, including seven G.O.A.T. modes (Normal, Eco, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, Sand, Baja, and Rock Crawl), a wireless charging pad, 12” touchscreen, and heated front seats and steering wheel. The 4-door has power adjusted seats, but even on the First Edition, the 2-door seats are manually adjusted.

Finally, under the hood of First Edition Broncos: the 2.7L EcoBoost engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission.

Moving on to the 2-door FE, one of the first differences between it and the 4-door is the body color on the interior door panel. The ever-elusive hard top brings another change between the models, as do the cupholders and the door storage option. 1. I understand that the plan was to cover all the trims but, for me, “yeah… another walk around…” This would’ve been exciting 6-9 months ago when the hype was fresh. For those getting a First Edition, I’m sure this walk around is welcome. I’m hoping Bronco Nation gets more creative and varied with the content they produce.

  2. Thank you, As an FE guy, it is hard to find info/video about it while we wait. I know others wont care, but we do.
    thanks!

  3. Puzzling why this is posted now. Maybe consider taking the bronco out for a drive and showing it perform in each GOAT mode, or maybe do a video on upcoming after market accessories.

    1. We had it in our arsenal but other videos took precedent! At the time, we were not able to drive the models we had access to. Stay tuned for videos filmed and being filmed on Ford Performance accessories and those from AM suppliers.

  6. Today, I went to the beach front with my kids.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell
    someone!
