TESTING UNDERWAY FOR SASQUATCH PACKAGE WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION
It appears that Ford is testing the Sasquatch package with the manual transmission on the 2021 Bronco. For months, Bronco fans, enthusiasts, and future customers have been very vocal about their desire for the Sasquatch package to be available with the 2.3L engine and manual transmission. Well, we have some good news…
Bronco Nation was on the ground for durability testing in Moab, UT several weeks ago where a 2.3L manual Badlands Bronco was used. We were able to ride in that Bronco, but at the time it was running on 33-in., non-Sasquatch tires. Since then, Bronco Nation has obtained additional photos of this same testing unit now equipped with 35-in. tires and what appears to be the Sasquatch package. We are able to confirm that it is the same unit based on the vehicle I.D. (Vehicle 301W412) number found on the yellow sticker at the top of the windshield.Â
 Â
In addition to the larger tires, new bead-lock wheels (right) now take the place of the multi-spoke wheels we saw on the 33inch tires (left). Furthermore, the fender flares have been removed on the Bronco that sports the larger tires and new wheels. With this information, our technical team has concluded that testing is underway for what we believe to be a manual option for the Sasquatch package.

The only missing piece to this elusive puzzle is timing. While we don’t have specifics on when this combination will be available, we are crossing our fingers for the 2021 model year!
Bronco fans have been particularly hopeful that the manual option would be offered on the Sasquatch package, and it seems they may get their wish! Does this news change your plans for ordering? Will you definitely be adding the Sasquatch package to your Bronco? Does Ford testing the Sasquatch package with manual transmission on the 2021 Bronco sway your opinion?
This is only gossip until it’s officially reported on bronco6g! /s
But for real that’s awesome!
I guessing your being sarcastic
Fantastic!!! Best news all week!
Finally! If this isn’t an option in 2021 I’ll have to wait till it is since they are testing it
I’m planning on a MT Badlands which has most of the Sasquatch components, so if It’s not available it’s not a biggie to me, but if it is I’m not sure I’d be to resist NOT getting it!
Ford is getting more of my money if it’s available on the 2021s
Well 2.3 manual is good , shoot 5.0 manual now we are talking
A step in the right direction, but how about the 2.7T with the manual transmission?
Yep. My same concern.
This news brings me joy and makes me happy. My purchase would without a doubt be a manual shifted Sasquatch
I agree with GPD gdrazek. I’m also concerned about the manual being offered only with the smaller engine. Mostly I’ll be driving roads very near me in Leadville, Colorado—we have some great wheeling in my vicinity. BUT: If I wanted to drive to Kentucky or Montana hauling a small trailer with two motorcycles, am I going to be disappointed? I worry that this 2.3 Bronco is going to be a bit “puny.”
Those that are worried about the 2.3L being too small… It’s not your grandfather’s 4 cylinder. It’s Turbocharged and packs 270hp and 310 lbft of torque. That’s way more than the V8 you were turning 35s with back in the 80s. Not to mention the gear ratio with the sasquatch package is more than capable
Manual with Sasquatch. Check
Manual with the 2.7L. 🤔
i agree with all of the comments. This is awesome news. Now if we can add the 2.7L and throw it all in the 2 door manual?
I thought you could always get the seven speed with the 2.3 engine, plus the Sasquatch package. I thought it was the 2.7 that only came with the automatic transmission.
Yes, this makes a difference for me as a consumer and second-generation bronco loyalist looking to pass this truck onto my kids. Locking diffs and a manual are not “boutique”.
It would seem like they would have to change axle ratio s for 35’s and then reconfigure the fuel mileage
