Ford designed each Bronco trim level to give passionate adventurers a variety of options, to build a go-anywhere vehicle perfect for their unique outdoor interests. And while it’s true they’re eschewing a typical good-better-best approach to trim levels, we can’t deny that both Big Bend and Outer Banks options offer some valuable upgrades over the Base model.
Starting at $28,160, Big Bend gives you the freedom to get a little dirty, thanks to its easy-to-clean cloth bucket seats and rubberized cargo floors. Just drop your muddy gear in and let your wet dog shake as much as he likes. This model also adds standard fog lamps, and SecuriCode keyless entry so you can leave your keys behind before a quick dip in the creek.
In the Outer Banks you can do all that and more—in style. It’s the largest jump in price (starting at $32,160), but an even greater return in comfort and refinement. 18” machined-face aluminum Ebony Black-painted wheels come standard, and so do leather-trimmed front bucket seats. If your adventures take you to higher climbs, you’ll appreciate the heated seats too. Outer Banks also gives you an optional Remote Start System and seamless integration with the FordPass app.
Like the Base trim, our picks for accessories include the Cargo Mat at $130, and the Cargo Management System at $110. On Big Bend, the Big Bend equipment group adds several features for $1595 but the leather wrapped and heated steering wheel is a nice luxury as is the wireless charging pad for your phone. The Outer Banks adds the heated steering wheel as a standard option as well as the reverse sensing system and remote start, both great additional features.
