82 Bronco
4.56 gears
37x15.5 TSLs
513ci stroker. 460 punched .080 over; stroked stock crank; block from an 87 F-250; shaved, ported, studded heads; 11.5:1 compression; 750 double pumper; MSD marine ignition; H-beam chevy rods; roller hydraulics for now; don't have cam specs handy.
It was a stock 460 until I got into a noise competition with a friend, over revved it, then drove it 35 miles, spun the number 8 rod journal. all of the damage was on the inside of the journal, so we offset ground it down to chevy rod journal size which increased the stroke.
She is broken right now, that engine and tire combo does not work well with half ton axles. Looking for a 250 or 350 donor truck to rip axles out of now, then I'll likely go bigger, onto 44s. unless I find some 2.5 tons for the right price, then 54s.
also need to rip out the roll cage and install a real one welded to the frame, that one is just bolted to the floor.
plan will be to triangulate 4-link the rear, and will parallel 4-link the front with a panhard bar most likely. I've looked into triangulated 4-link front, but to do that and keep mechanical steering is a pain, if anyone has some simple ideas on how to do that, let me know.
