1986 Bronco Engine and Transmission Swap General Questions

Bought a 1986 4x4 Bronco for my dad. I am swapping the original 302 over to a 408 Stroker motor (351W block) that I built a while back. Has anyone done a similar motor swap? If so, I would like some info on what automatic transmission you paired with it, and If you were able to re-use the existing computer and harness, or if you went aftermarket?.. Also, any advice on other issues you ran into would be very helpful... Thanks

I own a 1993 and a 1996 …. but I find myself drooling for a bullnose 1986 with a 300 six and the granny manual transmission.

Start a build thread and post some pictures so I can follow your progress.

I watched power nation and they built a 408 stroker motor that was just plain nasty
