Electrical brake switch problem

I replaced all my dash controls, horn, steering wheel, heater core, etc. in my 71 Bronco. Everything works, Bronco runs, etc. Problem is when I step on the brake pedal, the dash instrument lights and parking lights come on. It did not do that before. Obviously I did something. Before I completely backtrack everything, I wonder if some can say "yeah, I know what it likely is!". Thanks.

one additional detail...the instrument lights stay one for about five seconds then they start to flicker.

Partial answer found. One of the three wires going to one of the headlight beams was separated (wire to the center of the three prong). When i connected it back, everything worked fine. So it must have been a ground that affected other components.
