Where’s My Private Offer for a 23MY Bronco?

In November 2022, Ford announced it would be transitioning from price protection to the 2023 Bronco Model Year Transition Private Offer program. These private offers are dollar amounts offsetting the MSRP increase from time of reservation/order date to the current MSRP.

Dealers can apply the offer toward a Bronco deal to reduce the total customer cost of the vehicle. However, when customers have been going to take delivery, some are finding that their dealer cannot locate their private offer.

Where’s My Offer?

To start, dealers should look in Smart Vincent under the certificate inquiry screen. These offers are attached to your name, address, email address, and phone number. There are at least two reasons dealers or Ford customer support may not be seeing your offer.

1. The dealer must have previously entered your order in COVP.

COVP –– Customer Order Verification Program –– is important to order holders because of private offers. Dealers must have entered your order into the program before they can find your offer.

Tim Bartz, Long McArthur Ford, discussed finding private offers on his weekly livestream and the necessity of your dealer having completed COVP before you’ll have an offer that can be applied, even if you know you’re eligible.

“If it wasn’t put into COVP, then you can’t get it,” says Bartz. “That’s why Ford, when Bronco was coming out and they were opening this up, and they were giving these private offers out, they made it very intentional, telling dealers: ‘Make sure you COVP all of your Bronco orders, because that’s how the private offer is going to be given.’”

If you find your dealer has not entered your order into the COVP portal and had it approved, keep reading; you’re not out of luck yet.

2. Information entered by the dealer into COVP must be accurate.

“It’s based on exact name, address, and everything that’s put into the system,” says Bartz.

He goes on to say that if you’re trying to find your private offer by talking to Ford customer support, you’ll probably be asked for your name and address. If your dealer entered your information differently –– a flipped first and last name, a street abbreviation, etc. –– customer support may not be able to find it.

“That offer, it’s in there, if the dealership did a COVP,” says Bartz. He recommends having support or your dealer check under your phone number or email address as well.

The Fix for Non-COVP Orders

In addition to Bartz explaining the backstory of why a private offer won’t show up, you may want to know next steps if you’re a customer with a non-COVP approved order.

The Bronco Nation checked in with Brand Manager Matt Winter to see if there is a remedy, and there is. Winter stated that if a dealer has not yet entered your order into COVP, they can do so now.

“The dealer would need to go in, complete COVP, and then we can address the private offer for the customer.”

One Important Note

However, if your dealer has not completed COVP enrollment yet, do not wait to get that sorted. Ford has shared with dealers that 28% of orders have not had COVP completed, and that unscheduled, non-COVP approved orders will be canceled after March 7.

Dealers have had two deadlines to get orders into the verification system, so this isn’t new information for them and shouldn’t be a cause for alarm for you. However, if you are unsure where your order stands and interested in seeing a copy of the COVP approval, your dealer can provide you with it.
