Hey Ford,

Why do my points expire? Why wouldn't they remain as long as I own the vehicle, so I can accumulate to help offset a larger repair. Like your weather app. not working? You giveth and taketh away? I don't understand.

Please explain.

Good morning. Can you send us a private message with more information? I’ll see how I can assist on my end.

I don't need any assistance or a private message. It's a simple question. Please answer the question so the public can hear your answer. I have 603 points. I got an email that they expire in 90 days. Why do they expire? Why don't they remain active until I sell the vehicle? Customers spend thousands of dollars with Ford. You give points and then if we don't spend them quick enough you take them away. WHY!!!!

User, Sam I Am 1966 lost 42K points. WHY!!!! Look in this thread.

And I’ve already spent too much time on the phone with the Ford Points folks who tell me continuously that there is nothing they can once the expire. I lost all points from the 2021 Escape I purchased for my daughter b/c I didn’t know, and was never notified they were expiring. Guess I didn’t read the fine print. I learned of my loss when I bought the bronco. Gee, had I not waited 14+ months for the bronco I would have had activity on my account prior to the expiration date of the points!

@MIGeezer I just Googled when do Ford points expire. AI response said after 18 months of inactivity unless you have a Ford Pass Visa Card, then they do not expire. That might help explain a few things. 🤷‍♂️

It tells what but not why IMO.

I am not sure that is correct. Galpin Ford (greater Los Angeles and a huge Ford dealer) personnel told me during my 20K service this past week that my points would expire in Feb. 2026 - that is far less than 18 months of inactivity from my last points earning (this just completed and paid for 20K service). So I don't understand either.........

So, I had some recalls and service done yesterday and used some pass points for the service, and they told me I have $600 worth that expire in July next year. ( I was surpised I had any left over at all).

so, what would you spend $600 of pass points on if you were going to spend it for stuff other than service? OR, I have been wanting to level the bronco since I installed the winch, its kinda nose heavy...maybe thats what I should do.
