Weird engine noise

Have not experienced this on my Badlands - definitely should take it to your dealer to inspect

I certainly hear turbo noises when accelerating on my BL but nothing like that. As benjaminkrawiec said take it to your dealer.

Nothing like that on my BL, but I do have a slight whine at very low speeds. Anyone have that?

I have the fairly loud noise coming from under the hood and I am pretty sure it is the fuel injectors. The engine runs normally but I will definitely be mentioning it next time I take it to the dealer. It seems to have gotten worse after the first oil change. I also have the brake noise when backing up. But not a big deal. I also feel something under the floor board driver's side when backing up that I think maybe a cable hitting the under carriage, again not really a big deal.

We hear brake rubbing when backing but no engine noises or floor thumping. I'm interested in what everyone finds out.

on my new Bronco sport Badlands, I keep hearing a rattling coming from the engine, most noticeable when speeding up. Also, it makes a weird crackling noise (sounds like someone is crumbling a bag of chips) when breaking- has anyone else had a similar issue with the new Bronco sport?

The rattling noise from the driver side engine compartment is most likely the emergency brake cable rattling which is a known issue and Ford said they would have a fix sometime in the middle of December. brakes might be recent recall with back brake pads.

If I understood you correctly, I think I experience something similarly.

It’s like a metal cranking/rubbing/squeaky mid-range sound, particularly when I start turning the front wheels when backing up.

Hopefully it’s not a mechanical issues and just metal, hinges, and bolts being metal, hinges, and bolts.

Since we’re on the topic of noise, I hate that my driver door makes a “buzz” noise when playing music, especially with music that has a noticiable base.

The oddity is that I’m not even blasting my music. I get that the buzz might appear if I cranked up my volume, but this is not the case. Even when I lower the volume to minimize the buzz, depending on the songs, it’s still present.

I just picked up a Badlands from a local Ford dealer here in Vegas last Friday with a build date of 11/9/21 and at low speeds there is a Fluttering hard drive type of noise coming from the steering colum area that is pretty annoying and can be heard over music in the cab. Been looking up the issue and seems like a lot of Sport owners are having it and it is not normal. I have less than 100 miles on it. going to contact my dealer and hope they are aware of the issue. luckily there are 4 other Ford dealers here in Vegas so hoping one of them is aware.

Having the same issue with 2021 Badlands. Sound is intermittent and very annoying.

One post wonder , 22 years on forum, gets old !
