Why 4 Door or 2 Door?

I went with a 2 door because I am 74YO and my wife is 75YO! No kids! My wife won't go off roading and never did, so it is just me. That back seat will hold just about all I need to take along with me. I have seen some interesting reasons for getting a 4 door/2 door. Fess up people. What is your reason?

Just me and the dog. The 2-door is more than I need. Dog does not need his own door. Unfortunately they do not make a 1-door. ;)

I was originally going to go with a 4-door for the added wheel base for wheeling. I've had three 4-door Wranglers and they perform better off-road than the 2-door in most cases (in my experience). But Ford has increased the 2-door wheel base to 100 inches which is close to ideal for most wheeling situations (again, in my experience). This is 7-8 inches longer than the early Bronco, the Jeep TJs and the 2-door JKs and JLs. My kids are all out of the house. We have 2 small dogs. My wife loves to wheel. So the 2-door will be big enough. I've switched my plans back to a 2-door!

(Plus it just looks more like an early Bronco!!)

Never have wanted 4-doors on anything I have owned but over time it seems that the choices for 2-doors was very limited with not many choices.........really sucked when the suv's all went with 4-doors except for a couple which were not part of what I wanted which is why over the years I have had an old original Bronco, a Blazer, and the Vehicross which I really liked very much, among other non suv two door vehicles like Mustang, a Chevy or two, a Pontiac or two, and more all over many years of life's vehicles owned....now I have an Escape with 4-doors and a Mustang Convertible with two doors to be content with so when the NEW BRONCO came along it was without question that 2-doors were the only choice..........now just waiting for it too arrive.........

Wanted a 4 door because getting people in the back seat of a 2 door would be a nightmare. Also. Throwing groceries etc in the back seat is much easier. Not using it for rock crawling or anything so length doesn’t matter to me.

My original reservation was for a 2 door but ordered a 4 door.

Several key reasons:
- extra space
- after studying the pics I though the 4 door Squatched BL was more proportional than the 2 door
- I have a 2 door & 4 door Jeep and use the 4 door more (so I clearly have a bias)

I am hoping that I made the right decision - so tough to buy a vehicle sight unseen. Worst case scenario I dislike the 4 door and sell it for a 2 door version...

Just me and my dog so I don’t need 4 doors. Plus I like the look of the 2 door better

4 doors for the dogs.
One of our dogs is a totally blind Chocolate Lab. I have to lift him into the car, since he can’t see what he is doing. I’m not going to try to do that on a 2-door Bronco.

Same boat, two of us, two doors. If it were more, definitely 4 doors, I'm not a 2 door snob, I think we all need to get what suits our needs...

Manual is the only thing I will not go without so forced into smaller engine. 2DR is lighter, it's only gonna be me and an occasional passenger and I think the 2DR looks far better.
