I haven't understood why, but many in the Jeep world like to remove the spare and put a blank on. After all, most spend a ton of money on off-road recovery and safety gear and then don't have a spare. Who plans on removing their spare?1616414381329.png

I would if I could ...
A-stow it on the Top
&
B-Hang a vertical ski/:Board rack on the swing gate bracket.
But just for one or two weeks during my trips.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it has a lot to do with saving $$$ on that fifth wheel and tire when upgrading. Me personally, I am keeping the spare on board. In the sea of donut spare tires that come with modern cars(if they have a spare at all), I will look down upon the peasants of this world with that big round badge of rubber and steel high upon my tailgate, “Look world, I have the embodiment of opulence!”

What about the camera, it’s on the end of the rod that holds the tire?

Yep, you lose the rear camera and their positions are all built into the system working correctly. Hints why they are not moving the front grille camera

I don't care about the camera, but I wouldn't get rid of the spare. What do you do when you cut a sidewall?

I'm not, but so many options on a cover. Not sure if I get one or not

Yeah I have debated a spare cover, but leaning to not. Just something about seeing the tire there does something for me. Covering or removing makes it look funny.

Seen too many people with a stick through the sidewall to not carry a spare. Guess if you don’t actually go on trails it would be fine. And I agree. I think it looks better with the spare.
