Goofy G.O.A.T. response

So, been out dragging trees around with the bronco and winch to clean up the place. To get to some of the places, I used rock crawl 4L. When I finished, I switched back to normal, and the truck stayed in 4L, but was normal, and the rear diff stay engaged. I had to shift it back to 2H, and press the rear diff switch. I dont recall this ever being the sequence.

Am I forgetting something? ( I did have a birthday since my last 4x4 event)
