What are the largest tires I can run on a 1995 bronco with no lift. Should I re-gear?

(just starting things off right around here!)

44's, 50's if you roll the fenders, no need to re-gear because we're in fantasyland :p

I had a 1992 that I had 31x10.5 on. That was the biggest that did not rub occasionally .

I squeezed some 35 BFG mud terrains under my 1996 with no lift. I had to trim the front bumper.... but had a little rub on the inside so I decided not to risk it. The back had no issues. I currently run 31 x10.50 BFG all terrains on the 1996 stock Bronco and love it. I actually put the 31 x 10.50's on the front and left the 35's on the rear to really redneck the hell out of it for a while....... just don't EVER PUT IT IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE WITH DIFFERENT SIZE TIRES

The tires actually belong on my 1993 (you can just see it behind in the first picture) with a six inch sky jacker lift. yes I re geared that one to 4:56 and it drives like a demon. with the stock gears it could not even get out of it's own way. After the re gear/lift/35 inch tires/ and full Detroit locker in the rear the beast moves...…. but loves the gas. I'm lucky to get 9mpg

31x10.50x15 is stock size for a 265 70r 15 which was an optional size for these.

Hey Paul, did tires around the 32 inch range do OK without rubbing? Seems like you are the master at trying to push the boundaries

Every Bronco is different after 25+ years. I have read where some have replaced sagging front coil springs and gained almost 2 inches of front ride height. It also depends what your going to do with the Bronco. Even moderate 4x4 action will cause issues with tight tolerances on tire height... add in some old springs, crusty shocks, and a moderate bump going a little fast and you will bottom out.....hard!

If you are mall crawling and not planning to wheel the rig 32" or 33" will fit..... but just don't let those front tires leave the ground...… or take a speed bump going 15mph.

I have not bottomed out the 31" and the front tires have left the ground a few too many times.

I put 33 X 12.5 X 15s on my '92 and had to trim the lower edge of the front bumper a couple of inches, barely noticeable, and no re-gearing, drives great.

I fit some 35x12.5-15 Dunlops on my ‘86 back in the day. The previous owner had heavier plow springs on the front that gave some clearance, but wore the tires due to bad camber. The 3inch body lift helped. All hokey lifts by today’s standards, but I was a poor high schooler. Lol.
