Has anyone thought about using one of the accessory switches as a battery shutoff? Would this be possible to cut the power to the push button start without screwing anything up?

Yes. Obviously, you've thought of it.
May the Ford be with you, always.

Okay... so... the problem with this idea is the Aux switches are connected to a relay which are powered by the battery. So if you wired it as a battery cutoff, it would basically cutoff it's own power supply.

Obviously a problem. ;)

Not necessarily, you could use the switch to cut off just the starter and not the whole battery. So that been said, thanks Area52, you just gave me an idea.;)
