Slide out tailgate

It’s seemingly not on there. I had the same thoughts. @BuzzyBud, @Deano Bronc, or @David did either of you end up finding it?

This was discussed in one of the q&a’s, I think. I’ll look for the source, but it’s going to be a dealer installed accessory in MY21 and a factory installed accessory MY22. So you’re gonna have to wait for the accessory catalogue to order that from your dealer. I think they said the catalogue is coming around April?

I was told that ALL non standard accessories will cause your build to be a late year order. That's why I had to take all my accessories off my order.

My dealer said they didn’t have the order options for things like the Pod Lights and things...

The part department doesn't have any parts lists yet either.

It's late availability, and won't be a factory option for MY21

I was told that ALL non standard accessories will cause your build to be a late year order. That's why I had to take all my accessories off my order.

That's false as your dealer installs them, so there is No factory delay with accessories. Per my dealer once we know a build date, given they have ordering access then, he said we will order whatever I needed DIO then

I still didn't see it when going over Ford's build and price tool. It did appear on several dealership ordering forms on their websites. I'd like to include it on my build but I wonder if its even available or if it's a constrained commodity.

If you are referring to the security drawer for the rear cargo area, I have one being delivered this week. Purchased as a Ford Accessory. I've seen some pics of broncos for sale at dealers with the drawer already installed

I know what you're talking about but this is the slide out tailgate. I'm really more interested in it since it will level out the cargo area with the rear seats when they're folded down. I plan to use mine camping so the hump isn't ideal.

I wish Ford wouldn’t have copied Jeep with the design and instead gone with a real tailgate and a swing out tire carrier!

Late '22, and for factory orders only. It'll be an accessory later, hopefully in '23.

I received my vin from the dealer today along with a scheduled build date of 2/14/22. I had originally asked my salesman to remove the sliding rear tailgate after reading the posts above. He said since it's been assigned a vin and scheduled for production, no changes can be made. So who knows, my lowly base four door might be one of the first ones equipped with the sliding tailgate.

Slider is a factory install
