Good work! That could've easily chipped or split. What kind of wood? White oak?
I need to make a template to use with my router.

Looks great! We made larger projects like this in woodworking/shop class in high-school. I won't say they turned out this well though.

Red Oak (I think) for the Bronco, I pulled all the wood out of my scrap bin, the base is Walnut and Purple Heart. I did think a bit about how I wanted to orientate the wood grain.
